Gw2 Ranger Soulbeast Easy WvW Power Build Guide/Showcase! [Spear/Dual Maces] [Solo Roamer]

Hello and welcome back everyone!! Today i bring you guys what i think to be a perfectly balanced, easy to learn and all rounded Spear build (specially against condis).
As most of the builds i make, its easy to adapt to your own play-style, feel free to use it as a base!
Disclaimer: I do mention in the breakdown of the build, that our toughest match-up are by far the perma-stealth thief builds... HOWEVER, it doesn't mean we cant beat them, in fact the average thief won't stand a chance against us. Unfortunately as i was recording i killed many thiefs that where not too experienced and it felt too easy (I chose to not put those clips on video for the sake of not creating false expectations, a good thief using perma-stealth and dodge build is SUPER hard to get with this one).

Welcome back once again my good friend! thank you for the kind words as always!! I couldnt pull this off in PvP due to the absurd decision of giving spear 1 stealth charge and maces not giving you full reset anymore in PvP... But you are the absolute Goat of PvP so maybe you can pull it off! 😄

Really enjoy seeing off meta builds nice work building this. I've been working on a similar power druid build, but seeing this i should stick to SB 😂 just a suggestion since you have the beastmastery traitline giving you the 30% movement buff you might be able to use another rune set

@@StagWithLag Thank you very much good sir🙌😁 And That is exactly correct and why i mention in the video that this can still be min-maxed. But i left cavalier because i didnt want to either be forced to use signet of the hunt/run without movement speed/ change runes depending on the variant. 😁 It is a comfort choice basically, but if i where to stick to ONLY the Beast Mastery version... Yep, i would change runes.

@@StagWithLag Nothing makes me happier than seeing ppl fired up to try out things! keep it going man!! And btw, rives + dodge food works really nice here too! In fact, if it was me, i would then swap the maces for berserker and use like you said, more aggressive runes to compensate for the massive burst fireworks is giving us! In any case i would like to hear how did it go for you! feel free to tell me about it any time!

Congratulations on the video, friend! I'm just starting to play Ranger now and I don't have the SOTO yet to use a wide range of weapons, but do you have any tips for those who are starting to play with the class? I want to practice roaming and play with zergs too. Lately I've been playing Guardian and I haven't been very satisfied because the class always does the same thing and it's very easy to apply explosive damage, this makes the game very boring and I wanted to try a new class, because I want to abandon the Guardian...

@@Azimuz186 Thank you very much sir! 😁 And indeed i have some tips! Lately there are many players asking me about these things! There is so much to explain that it would be great if you could add me on discord, my name is the same (darkpirox) And on the meantime... The same advise i always give to any ranger starting to play Soulbeast is: Pick up a simple build (if you dont have soto, you can always use the good ol sword+warhorn/greatsword power build with berserker/marauder) from there, think in combos amd sets, for example: My sword/warhorn are the "kill" weapon and should be paired with smokescale, and my greatsword is my "escape/defensive" weapon and should be paired with another defensive pet. Ovbiously there are many layers to this, but Ranger its easy to get into it and hard to master, which is fun. The logic behind this tip, and this is how i learned and still do... Is that you have to get familiar with your skills first so you can watch what the enemy is doing. because you will get rekt as a solo roamer in the begginnings ( You'll face players with countless hours) As far as Zerg goes, any guild that you join and does regular raids will guide you through it! ( You might encounter the situation that they demand meta builds).

so I have a question, why use cavalier relic when you are using beastmastery? I thought they did not stack and bm move speed bonus is higher, you could use a different rune set like brawler (more toughness) , reaper (more precision) or scrapper (more vitality). All those 3 are direct upgrades to that build in specific.
Also Two Handed Training does not affect land spear, only underwater spear, in that case wilting strike may be better with the weakness application or even the 3s healing from natural healing

@@workingandcommenting Yes, that is absolutely correct! However i do mention in the video its for the sake of being lazy/flexible and the build can be min-maxed.
I need the movement speed when i am using the variation with nature's Magic and i am just lazy to swap armor runes every time i feel like using the beast mastery version🤣.
At the end of the day it still works and i just didnt bother. If someoene wants to pick and use ONLY the beast mastery version which is very solid and all-rounded... Then yes you are 100% correct, runes should be replaced.

@@workingandcommenting It all depends on what build/play-style you are looking for! For the purpose of this build, maces are better because its a somewhat tanky build with counter/setup stunlick in mind and they also give condi cleanse and sustain.
I do have the warhorn build version in some of my videos! That is more like a quick in and out assasin play-style!

The Condi build will come, in the latest the next monday 😁 I already theorycrafted a few possibilities and i am hyped to test them and make a video about it, i wanted to do it this week but unfortunatelly, work this month is pretty harsh and i have less time to play/edit! The original anti-condi build feels like it cleanses condis as long as you're not afk xD
Any plans to update the maces post Cele nerf? I wonder if something like Crusader's could work?

@@jcoyne4718 Yes! I have done some homework and i'll try to make a video about it, but the maces are most likely to either change or get a new pair. (Might use them in another project as cele too)

Where would you rank ranger in terms of ease of use for a new player trying to learn roaming? I have ranger, guardian and warrior at 80 and while most people advocate guardian (well willbender) as the ultimate noob spec, it doesn't really click with me.

Hey man! I feel you, very much so. I was in the exact same spot when i started, my heart told me to go ranger and i do NOT regret it. If i had to rank it objectively, between those 3... it would be second (bcause willbender u know) HOWEVER, i personally guarantee that Ranger its an easy class to get into it but hard to master. which i think its really good. And the builds i presented here are super easy to start using, the best tip i could give you regardless of which one you choose is this: The key to be a decent ranger, its the pet management. Soulbeast is very easy, once you start practicing thinking that one pet pairs with one weapon set (Damage weapon) and the other with the second (Defense/run away weapon). Basically because a new Roamer will face experienced players and will get rekt a lot of times. And the best way to stop getting stomped, is being familiar with your buttons so you pay more attention to theyr's. Sorry for the long answer but if you would like, as a fellow ranger that was in the same spot, if you ever want some advice i'd be super happy to help.😁
