A story from a survivor in Leningrad:when I went out of the apartment to the entrance, there were always people who died of Hunger and cold on the stairs. no one buried them, because there were no forces to transport the dead. While standing in line for bread, which consisted of sawdust and glue, people did not wait right in line and fell dead.
There was no Battle for Leningrad. There was a blockade of Leningrad

Fun fact: the Soviet Union lost more casualty in Stalingrad than the whole casualty of the United States during WWII.
@Elisatifwdbпхпхпхх классная шутка
Больше половины из потерь это мирное население, есть ещё те которые погибли от голода и холода, и тут идёт остальная часть около 9 миллионов солдат
@Elisatifwdb
Only in the movie enemy at the gates.
@ElisatifwdbYou should tell that to the their commanders, the soldiers they didn’t decide the tactics, many of them even didn’t have knowledge about fighting, many of them were just farmers and workers forced to get in the line and go to the battlefield, they didn’t even touch a gun in their entire life. But they knew one thing, they must protect their motherland, their family, their friends, lover, pets, son and daughter. They knew they’re gonna die in a second on the battlefield but for everything at their back, sacrifice thei r life was just a small price for the future of their home to them. Maybe they wound some enemies, kill enemies or maybe they fall after a step out of trench but still it was a contribution, a morale boost, a shield for their comrades behind to push, to revenge for them, to keep the promise to protect their home. Imagine in a battle where everyone is scared, no one is brave enough to push, to fight, to sacrifice, to step out and shook their comrades morale. “Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal”
"Fun fact"
@ElisatifwdbА почему тогда Россия освободила польшу, Украину,Белорусь, Прибалтику, Кавказ, Половину Австрии, Чехию и тд. И в конечном итоге Захватили Берлин. Это всё из за зимы.....
