    You can do the 3rd method with sugar water. Dissolve the sugar with water (not much) just to have this sticky consistency. Same effect, it will harden the brush but the sugar will dissolve when you put it in water

    Never had much luck with synthetics, tip curl after one session. I didn't know they could be repaired and always thought what's the bleedin' point ( no pun intended) and into the terrain buggered brush tub they went. Now I know better, I may have to revisit the synth brush! As ever thanks for the knowledge.

    Nice one, never seen anyone actually straight out synthetic bristles before, didn't know that was a thing. What is that metal cup called? I want something like that to mix paints for my airbrush

    • @RisingApe

      Cheers, yeh I got the metal cup idea from Marco Frisoni, Mr Hobby sell them, but I got these on Amazon, I will pop a link in the description and drop you a DM with the link

    Does this work on a da vinci brush? I got mine new and came all messy out from the package

      The cleaning works on any brush, the hot water, just synthetics.

    hi, what it is the gel??

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a few brands that make it but I use Green Stuff world Brush repair gel, if you are UK based I have a link in the video description. If you are based inside the EU I would order direct from Green Stuff World.

    See, I've been trying this and it's just not working. My fine detail brushes are getting too frayed to work right.

      There is a limit sadly, brushes don’t last forever

    Why is there no one using a sponge instead of a rag. So much better and easier.

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      How do you mean? Using a sponge instead of a tissue to wipe the brushes down?

    • @Riddler_von
      @Riddler_von 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes

    Not a good idea hot water in Kolinsky brushes, dont do it

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t use boiling water but warm water is fine, you would use warm
      Water to wash your hair, same principle. Either way this video is focused on Synthetic brushes
