Hi Pauline and Alan - thanks so much for your comment and great to hear from you. It was so lovely to have you with us at the cooking school and we're delighted you are putting it all into practise now. Best wishes, David and Holly
All your lessons are fantastic. I am inspired to use my oven for many more dishes, especially breads. Your temperatures are they Celsius or Fahrenheit?
Another great video. Can't wait to try it, but I will probably have to cut down the portion size, as I only (Currently) have a small oven, which is really designed for Pizza, but does do almost as well at other dishes (Steak last Saturday was superb). Looking forward to the course on the 11th June. Take Care
do try it Kenny - half a batch would work just fine. So glad you enjoyed the steak in your oven. See you next week for your course. Best wishes, Holly and David
Love your videos, been so helpful to me as I've just got my oven installed in the garden. I made pizzas last Saturday and tried steaks Sunday, both seemed to be a success. Question is when I'm going to cook using the tuscan grill do I need to burn the oven to the top temp to clear any black from the dome or is it fine to just get a good temp as only really cooking on coals under the grill plus any flame from it pushed to the side
Hi Carl, the beauty of using the Tuscan grill is that it can be used in a hot or cold oven. So you can just get a bed of embers in an otherwise cool oven and grill over direct heat or grill/roast in a hot oven. If you just want to cook a couple of chops or a quick steak it saves a lot of time and fuel,
@@mannadavid thanks for the reply. Just got a good fire going so had a decent bed of embers and pushed the rest to the back. Cooked chicken, steak and corn on the cob. Thought was too hot for the corn but was cooked and delicious , smelt like popcorn at times. 😂
Hi, Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our day at the school. We learnt so much and have already impressed the family (no cremation!). Thank you
