Weird. How people are mocking Rachel for sweeping and mopping daily! I am an Indian and we sweep and mop our homes everyday :) It's an excellent practice to keep home clean and dust free :) Love you Rachel for your efforts and for your quality content.xoxo
I work full time and have other responsibilities too but I vacuum everyday without fail and mop the kitchen and bathroom floors too. It doesn't take long to do, especially if you do it every day
Anyone else totes obsessed with cleaning?! I LOVE to clean! My kiddos and I throw on our jamz and deep clean like nobody's business. I love it...them, not so much Lol. Cannot get enough of cleaning vids 😍
I clean all my stainless appliances with vinegar and water, and then I oil it (yes, oil it!). I take a little bit of olive oil and rub it in, then I buff it out. It works wonders!!! And keeps fingerprints at bay for a couple of weeks.
I love your disclaimer in the description. It's nice how open and honest you are while still giving amazing content! Your videos are by far my favorite. Thanks for all of the cleaning tips!
This was uploaded a long time ago, but I’m just seeing it now. When I was in basic training for the Air Force, we had stainless steel stalls. They gave us a specific cleaner for it, but it always left streaks and we kept getting demerits for it. One day we went to the mini mart on base for toiletries, and someone there told us to use baby oil. It worked like a charm. The stalls looked brand new.
Ecloths are life-changing! The duo for windows & glass, especially. I always had trouble with streaking and lint no matter what I tried. The ecloth leaves everything sparkling, and the great thing is you only use water with them- NO MORE CLEANSERS, EVER. I only wish they were made of natural fibers, but I'm willing to compromise since I no longer have to contribute to plastic waste (from packaging of cleanser bottles, gloves, etc.).
They do one for stainless steel as well! I personally haven't tried that one yet, but there are tons of videos on TH-cam demonstrating just how well they clean. All of their cloths clean grease, fingerprints, etc., and remove over 99% bacteria with just water. You can find them on Amazon, I bought mine at Sur La Table. :)
Was going to comment that I seen Ecloths on Doitonadimes channel and her stainless steel looks great! Seen your comment so thought best to just back up your comment! :)
Equal parts rubbing alcohol & baby oil makes an effective / inexpensive stainless steel cleaner.. The lemon-lime disposal cubes sounds like a great idea❣️
Rachel, I totally love and respect your disclaimer in the description. I would never just google something to avoid you getting affiliate compensation, since this is your job, but your transparency is admirable and makes me trust you even more!
Maybe it's me, but I never understood the reasoning behind washing dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. I get rinsing them off, but I don't understand washing them 😕
It's usually if there is crusty left over food on there, or rings in the cups etc. My dishwasher doesn't clean it enough, so I usually always rinse and use a sponge before putting dishes in the dishwasher.. =)
I can watch you over and over again. I feel under the weather but your soothing voice just made it all go away and I'm like " honey, buy me these. I'm going to clean". Thank you
You and Byron have the most soothing voices. I could probably listen to both of you reading the phone book! And I LOVE all your tips and tricks on cleaning in a more natural way!
Oh! Rachel!! You never fail to impress anyone! The best thing about your videos are they're short and precise and do have a lot of content!! All your tips and tricks have really motivated to do good cleaning!! I just seriously love your kitchen! And the way you manage to do everything even while having a toddler! Hope you're doing more and more cleaning videos! Can't wait for more stuff! Love you!!❤️❤️
This is random I never usually comment about descriptions but I appreciate the honesty in your description no one really words it that way and I always know I can trust you and Tati you're both amazing
My go to product for stainless steel is a furniture polish. Specifically, Orange Glo. It's not only good for wood furniture, but is also amazing on stainless steel. No smears, and totally shiny. And the polish helps keep dust from settling. Plus, it smells great. In my experience, the metal scrubber you use to clean your sink is rather abrasive. Over time the finish on metal sinks break down. Scrubbing it with an abrasive item will only progress the process.

I use my steam/vacuum all the time! I have asthma and since I used this I really feel such a great difference. I use it in the couches, bed pillows, mattress. Another good thing, is at winter time, when I steam the floors they dry faster :-)
I've noticed that you buy a lot of things in Amazon. Can you do a video of your top products to buy in Amazon? I have a gift card for Amazon and would like to buy something worth my buck. Love your channel!!
I buy almost everything on Amazon, because I have Amazon prime.. You pay a little bit per year for free 2 day shipping.. Everything comes the next day or day after, and shipping is almost always free. It's awesome!
The shark steamer looks really nice, definitely going to check it out! I use the shark ultra light deluxe pro vacuum daily, and it is AMAZING! 😁💖 Great video Rachel!
Love this video I just got a new Shark Vacuum and I was talking to my friend about how much I love it and how oddly satisfying it is to me to use it, i dont know why and then watching your video is the cherry on top
Love these cleaning videos!!! Something about it is so satisfying to watch. We own the Dyson vacuum and it gives you the option to vacuum on either floors or rugs/carpet. It's light weight, isn't very loud, and it cleans very well. It's definitely worth the price and you are definitely getting a quality product.
for stainless steel i use vinegar and a microfiber kitchen cloth. it works perfect. for my glass top I found a sponge by vileda for glasstops one side is a scrubber and the other polishes all you need is warm water. it's great
Hi Rachel, about the stainless steel what works best for me it's use little bit of dishwashing soap on a wet sponge, clean the doors with it and then use either a rug or a damp sponge with a little bit of baby oil! It's amazing and repels the finger prints. I hope this helps. I love your videos, your voice is so soothing.
Dyson stick vacuum with the soft attachment for hardwood is my BFF. No cord, amazing suction, and doesn't scratch my floors. I change out the attachment to the regular beater one for my area rugs. It is the absolute best!
Omg this video is so satisfying and relaxing to watch! There is something so calming and soothing about you, Rachel. Your videos are a source of stress relief for me, and for a lot of other people judging by these comments. Let me get off the couch and clean my house now 😇
Yes they are pretty pricey not gonna lie but I see it as in the long run it works out. I've got the cordless ones they're so practical and no hassle with any wires great for getting into all the nooks and crannies.
"Best Purchase"... sure If you like to throw away money. You don't need a Dyson to lift up dirt from a hardwood floor. Most entry level vacuums can do that. That's just overkill.
I recently discovered Norwex cleaning cloths. They have a cloth specifically for glass and it has changed my life! I use it on all my stainless steel (you don't use any cleaner with it, just water! The cloth is infused with silver which is naturally antibacterial!) It kills all the germs and makes my stainless steel look like new! I wipe down my steel every couple days and that's it!
I love watching your videos. They always put me in the mood to clean or be productive in some way haha. Either that, or they relax me because for some reason listening to you talk is super relaxing! Haha!
Thank you for the video! For the stainless steel, I wash all the gunk off with some dish soap and the softer side of a sponge and then with a micro fiber I go in with baby oil. It works like a dream!
she says it has a hardwood and a carpet setting and has a retractable plug. I mean... *every* vacuum has these options. Like, these are not things to mention about a vacuum. It's like saying "it sucks dirt from the floor" no shit what a surprise :D
Stainless steel suggestion: mist with water and vinegar solution, wipe. Then polish with a soft cloth and some baby oil on it, just a few drops. This method will become your new favorite. :-) Stovetop solution: mist with vinegar/water , gently sprinkle w/ baking soda. Let sit for 5 min, gently scrub with a sponge.
You should try coconut oil body spray or just coconut cooking spray, it keeps the steel very shine and nice and you don’t have to it everyday. Hope you understand my bad English. ❤️
I love using a steamer! One of my family member's lives in a historic home with the original hardwood floors and I offer to steam their floors for them when I visit because it's just so satisfying!
Since you're more into safe/natural products, do you use any special cookware? I've been trying to figure out what to get to replace my Teflon pans with! Also, my stem mop is my favorite cleaning tool! Best thing I ever bought
Cast iron pans are the best. They're indestructible. They cook well. You can cook food in them in the oven or over a campfire. Lastly, you can whack a home intruder with them. ;-P
Hi Caitlin, I agree with Sarah. I love my cast iron pans, and I use lots of older muffin/loaf/cake tins that were made in England or Canada as they get a nice finish similar to cast iron.
Bloomin super mom over here!!! Awesome tips and love your daily routine to keep on top of mess, Total inspiration... Now i dont have stainless steel in my home so i dont know if this really works but i read somewhere recently that baby oil can help clean stainless steel appliances, Could be worth a try as i know there are some eco friendly, natural baby oils out there. Hope it helps x
Loooved this video, Rachel! I told you before but I usually make my morning coffee and check if you've uploaded new videos while I drink it. But today I forgot and had my coffee before I checked out your video... My little heart was broken... Your videos are feel-good by themselves but paired with a nice coffee and a scented candle... Magic, I tell you! Hahah! Love you!
Love my Shark steamer! Swear by it! My friend was so kind and gifted us our 1st one as a baby shower gift. Sadly, it died a few months back. But!, my husband found a refurbished one on Amazon. Works like a brand new one with a MUCH smaller price tag. Exactly the same, but the silver is just gray. I have to say, the pads it came with are a little better. They're more microfiber vs. shag. But, we now have extra cover and head. Winning!!!
The brand Method, has a stainless steel cleaner that works pretty well. To be honest it isn't as good as Weimans but it's a more natural option to make using the other less frequent.
This might sound a little crazy but with our son, we did a countdown to no more diapers for about a week. Then on that Saturday, we said that was it, took off the diaper, and held him on the potty seat once an hour. He was potty trained by Monday! Good luck!!
I use the Bissel Crosswave on my hardwood floors and carpet. I love it because it both sweeps and mops at the same time! It also has a hardwood floor and carpet setting you can toggle between.
I didn't think I would enjoy this video content as much as I did. I got some great take aways, like the Trader Joe's reusable clean cloths. We go "ham" with paper towels in my household. I've also been eyeing a steam vacuum. I kept telling myself I don't need it for our little apartment, but you said you bought yours as a present for yourself. Good idea.
Love you, but I'm not sure how many people have time to vacuum and mop on the daily... I'm impressed that you do! As for the vacuum, I haven't met one I haven't broken 😕 I have two cats, two guinea pigs and a daughter, so they never last long... 😢
I should also note that I'm referring to areas that get a lot of traction.. kitchen, & living room mostly... My floors are so light, so it seems like they look gross by the end of every single day. lol
Kirby’s last for ever my mom had one for 20 years, 4 kids and 3 dogs. She only got rid of it to upgrade to a new one. I’ve had mine for 10 years and it works perfectly even with kids and an indoor bunny that sheds like crazy. They can be expensive if you buy new but you can find used ones that work great for fairly cheap.
I have that hard wood floor vacuum and I LOVE IT!! My floor attachment looks a little different then yours and it has a soft roller beater bar in it that's for hardwoods. I highly recommend this vacuum. I did a lot of research before I bought it and I really love it!
I'm a mother of 3 small children and I use the Bissell Symphony and IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! It's a steam and vacuum and it does both AT THE SAME TIME. (Used just for my hard floors, I use a different one for my carpet) I also use the dyson handheld vacuum for quick pick me ups on both hard floor and carpet.
For furniture or dining room chairs I use rubbing alcohol just spray scrub with a microfiber rag then rub a dry clean microfiber rag and let dry. It's clean and kills bacteria
Hi Rachel, thank you for the video. I personally swear by my Shark professional lift away vacuumcleaner(red and white), it beats the more expensive ones hands down...I tried them all. I have a shark steam mop too and I love how easy it is to use and the pads are machine washable, making them inexpensive and last quite a while. I use baby oil for my stainless steel, stove top and also on my glass shower doors as it repels water and stays cleaner longer.
Hi Rachel! My mother in law loves doing research and she teach me that the best way to clean stainless steal, mix in a spray bottle half baby oil and half alcohol and it works incredibly! Try it and let me know. Always love watching your videos.
Hi Rachel! Melissa on Cleanmyspace.com has several natural alternatives for stainless steel cleaners. She's amazing & so is her channel if you haven't seen it. Also side note ... I think it's recommended to clean with the grain on stainless although I don't know why! Really enjoy your channel & all the Best w your Labor & Delivery to come !
I use a water-soluble lavender oil in a spritzer bottle for cleaning stainless steel and polishing faucets, which works well & the scent is a plus too. Great vid.
I love all your videos but the cleaning ones are my favourite! I find them so relaxing for some reason and they make me want to clean the whole house:)
My favorite cleaning tools I order from Norwex. All you need is water to clean any surface in your house. Works wonderful on countertops, glass, and stainless steel. You just clean with the microfiber cloth, and polish with the shining cloth. Perfect shine every time.
Great tips! I always add a little softener and a little vinegar in the last cycle of the machine, it maintains the laundry smelling fresh for longer time.
thank you for this video.. I have been so lazy about my cleaning which is not me but this video will help me get back into my cleaning routine again...starting now 😁
When you clean stainless steel, always clean in the direction of the lines and not in circular motions to avoid damaging/scratching your appliances. Also, I'm not sure if you heated it but when you use a stovetop cleaner you have to warm up the stove to loosen anything that may be dried up or stuck. Love your videos 🤗
your "natural" products aren't as natural as you think a little less " harmfull' as your stainless steel cleaner but definitely not natural. if you are wearing gloves and mask for the stainless steel cleaner for it being unnatural you're gonna have to use it for all the products you shown as well. Anything made in factory is not natural doesn't matter how they word it or what they say nothing natural has a shelf life and chemical in general are always " harmful"
I'm a thirty-three-year-old man and I vacuum almost daily. There are six of us in the house and we have six animals (two dogs and four cats) so there's never ending vacuuming, laundry and garbage to take out. I like the mop you have, I have a Bissell steam mop model 1940. It does a pretty decent job. The vacuum you have is sufficient for your floors. If you have very little carpeting or rugs, a canister is best. I have hardwood, tile and vinyl, but big area rugs in each room. I have three vacuum cleaners: a vintage Kirby from 1959 that I completely rebuilt, a Kirby Diamond Edition with all attachments, floor polisher and shampooer, and a Royal all-metal upright.
Weird. How people are mocking Rachel for sweeping and mopping daily! I am an Indian and we sweep and mop our homes everyday :) It's an excellent practice to keep home clean and dust free :)
Love you Rachel for your efforts and for your quality content.xoxo
Ayesha Kazmi im a filipino and we clean everyday. Sweep and mop. Maybe some people here dont really know how to keep their houses clean lol
As much as I'd love to clean my home daily I work full time, as well as having other responsibilities. Not everyone has the time to clean daily.
Ayesha Kazmi I'm American and I sweep and mop daily. I'm surprised that's not the norm
Ayesha Kazmi 1
I work full time and have other responsibilities too but I vacuum everyday without fail and mop the kitchen and bathroom floors too. It doesn't take long to do, especially if you do it every day
OMG, watching a steam cleaner is SO RELAXING.
Isn't it? I LOVE that thing.. It's SUCH a life saver!!
Wow it's nice even I want to buy
Anyone else totes obsessed with cleaning?! I LOVE to clean! My kiddos and I throw on our jamz and deep clean like nobody's business. I love it...them, not so much Lol. Cannot get enough of cleaning vids 😍

Whitney Law Yes 👌 Buff with oil.
Whitney Law I am so trying this tomorrow! I have been looking for a natural option for stainless steel forever! Thanks for sharing!!
i always clean my stainless steel with vinegar and water, but have never tried oil. going to try that.
Whitney Law I use vinegar too!
I've tried johnson's baby oil and it works too
I love your disclaimer in the description. It's nice how open and honest you are while still giving amazing content! Your videos are by far my favorite. Thanks for all of the cleaning tips!
misty0130 I just read it and it's so sweet and thoughtful

They gave us a specific cleaner for it, but it always left streaks and we kept getting demerits for it. One day we went to the mini mart on base for toiletries, and someone there told us to use baby oil. It worked like a charm. The stalls looked brand new.
Im just seeing it now july 19th 2020
You must try Dyson cordless vacuum. It's the best vacuum in the world! It makes cleaning the floor so easy. You'll forget about any other vacuum!
Chao Huang Yess! Best vacuum EVER!!
my favourite! I can't ever use another vacuum
SO TRUE! I'll never go back!
Chao Huang I have it on my wedding registry! I'm crossing my fingers we get it haha!
Chao Huang does it work well on carpet and hardwood/laminate?
Ecloths are life-changing! The duo for windows & glass, especially. I always had trouble with streaking and lint no matter what I tried. This video makes my inner clean freak rejoice! 😊
Chill out
25 yr old male here. I am very impressed and I certainly have learned a lot. I just bought a bissell steam mop and I am happy!
Just listening to your video deeply inspires me to clean my room. I haven’t done a full on clean on it in a while 😬
Rachel, I totally love and respect your disclaimer in the description.
Lov!ingL!fe I agree ladies. It reminds me of that commercial- the little girl asks, "So, what does the dishwasher do?" 😂
I do the very same thing...my husband asked me the same question thinking it's redundant, but our dishwasher is pretty old so I just do it anyway...
Exactly like if your going to clean it before putting it in then don’t even waste more water by putting it in the dishwasher when it’s clean
I don't understand either, wath's the point?
I love the fact that how honest a person you are. That is one reason why i keep coming back to your channel ❤️
I use a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water with a squirt of dish soap. Works like a charm. No streaks
I can watch you over and over again. I feel under the weather but your soothing voice just made it all go away and I'm like " honey, buy me these. I'm going to clean". Thank you
It's amazing how an 11 minutes cleaning video can actually be entertaining.
You and Byron have the most soothing voices. I could probably listen to both of you reading the phone book! And I LOVE all your tips and tricks on cleaning in a more natural way!
I've always used a little olive oil on a soft cloth for my stainless steel, but of course spot test it on yours first :)
Ally Chatham I was going to suggest this as well. I just use simple green or a natural all purpose cleaner then polish with olive oil :)
baby oil works super well and if you have little ones its already in the house
+Emily Elswick I use baby oil
as well and it comes out nice and shiny

I'd reccomend a Dyson for hardwood floor best purchase in my opinion.
I will look into this. Dyson are pretty pricey, but if it works, it's worth it.

That vacuum in the beginning was obviously not good
Girl Andhermakeup yea she went over the same crumb about 11x 😂
Miele is soooooo much better
Sarah Hunt I was right about to say Miele too! Love my Miele vacuum.
she says it has a hardwood and a carpet setting and has a retractable plug. I mean... *every* vacuum has these options. Like, these are not things to mention about a vacuum. It's like saying "it sucks dirt from the floor" no shit what a surprise :D
Girl Andhermakeup each to their own..

Love your channel love how u find a healthy fresh natural product for everything it's honestly a better lifestyle!
I am looking for advice: how do you clean the inside of a dishwasher???
Megan K. Run it with one of those cleaners for dishwashers, you'll find them in the supermarket
Emilya Gerson or vinegar!
I showed this in a video a while back.. perhaps it was my natural cleaning video.. I use vinegar =)
Lemi shine! I just used it. It was amazing and smelled like lemons. So good!!!
this is so satisfying to watch because I am such a clean freak!
I could literally watch that Bissel stain cleaning action all day

Love my Shark steamer! Swear by it! My friend was so kind and gifted us our 1st one as a baby shower gift. Sadly, it died a few months back. But!, my husband found a refurbished one on Amazon. Works like a brand new one with a MUCH smaller price tag. Exactly the same, but the silver is just gray. I have to say, the pads it came with are a little better. They're more microfiber vs. shag. But, we now have extra cover and head. Winning!!!
The brand Method, has a stainless steel cleaner that works pretty well. To be honest it isn't as good as Weimans but it's a more natural option to make using the other less frequent.
ahhh.. Good to know!! I think I did try it once, and it wasn't as good... but it's a good idea to use it less often.
These videos definitely motivate me to clean around my house. Keep them up Rachel!
I use a bit of baby oil on my stainless steel fridge.
I really like your cleaning videos, they kind of inspire me to clean my own home when I'm feeling lazy.
I LOVE cleaning videos!
PS is Oliver potty trained?
Yes =) He wears a nighttime pull up at night just in case, but besides that he's completely potty trained =)
Go Oliver! Any tips? My little guy is 2.5 and has shown NO interest!
my little guy just turned 2 1\2 also and shows no interest! But that's his personality. anything new and it freaks him out lol
Rachel if you wet the cloth before you put it on the steamer it will immediately start cleaning the floors.
Great tip. Thanks
Good idea.
Update: Just purchased a Shark Genius steam mop IN STORE at my local Target for $39.99. Online price is $100. Score & win😊
Love you, but I'm not sure how many people have time to vacuum and mop on the daily... I'm impressed that you do! As for the vacuum, I haven't met one I haven't broken 😕 I have two cats, two guinea pigs and a daughter, so they never last long... 😢
Thats the goal, doesn't always happen hahaha
Method has a natural stainless steel cleaner, i think the only place you can get it is the method website
Cathielovesyouh09 Target and Home Depot sell it too. It's my favorite brand of cleaners.
Cathielovesyouh09 method is Not all natural
I'm a mother of 3 small children and I use the Bissell Symphony and IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! It's a steam and vacuum and it does both AT THE SAME TIME. (Used just for my hard floors, I use a different one for my carpet) I also use the dyson handheld vacuum for quick pick me ups on both hard floor and carpet.
ooh.. I will look into this.. Thanks =) xo
I never clean my house. I'm very lazy. But I like to imagine that I'm cleaning it everyday. Thanks for the video.
I use microfiber cloth and soap on my stainless steel and it's work like magic ! Thanks for sharing your tips !
why are you vacuuming at the beginning? I've learned that you clean from the top down, the bottom at the end. I think it makes more sense.
I use a water-soluble lavender oil in a spritzer bottle for cleaning stainless steel and polishing faucets, which works well & the scent is a plus too. Great vid.
I usually clean everything in my house using robbing alcohol. It's definitely affordable and working very well.
I love all your videos but the cleaning ones are my favourite! I find them so relaxing for some reason and they make me want to clean the whole house:)
what about your electricity bills ??
For the stovestop, I also use that brand and they have a scrubber that comes with it and it works so well for scrubbing the stains off the stovetop.
Incase, my home was as clean as it was before she started cleaning it... I wouldn't even bother cleaning it again...
My favorite cleaning tools I order from Norwex. All you need is water to clean any surface in your house.
Works wonderful on countertops, glass, and stainless steel. You just clean with the microfiber cloth, and polish with the shining cloth. Perfect shine every time.
The video is 11:11 make a wish people!!!🙏🙏
Amandeep Khaira came up 1110 for me sorry to burst your bubble
Amandeep Khaira that’s a good way of attracting people to videos haha I clicked because of the video length and I’m glad I did!! 😊
Great tips! I always add a little softener and a little vinegar in the last cycle of the machine, it maintains the laundry smelling fresh for longer time.
The best way to clean a hard floor,is to stick a wall to wall rug over it. Vacum and be done.

thank you for this video.. I have been so lazy about my cleaning which is not me but this video will help me get back into my cleaning routine again...starting now 😁
You are beautiful, elegant and always useful ... Please translate into Arabic so that we can benefit from you and thank you.😘😘😘
When you clean stainless steel, always clean in the direction of the lines and not in circular motions to avoid damaging/scratching your appliances.
It’s funny she like non toxic stuff but she has a tattoo.... really
Thanks for sharing! You have some great cleaning tips. I use a Norwex window cloth. It works really well. All you need is water and the cloth!
Such a helpful video Rachel!! I'm a mom too and never really have time to clean very much without a baby in my arms😟 I'm going to try this routine💁🏻
