Hey Djuntas, nice work on every video you make man :) Just wanted to let you know, that using HeroEditor, you can create the excact item you wish for, including runewords. You can also make it ethereal if desired. It's a lot of work though, but once you get the hang of it, it's really useful (I do a lot of item-testing myself).

Thanks man :D The fools I made now for this video did take quite some work, but did get it very close to the picture I found on JSP. Wish Hero editor item packs was also a bit better, somebody should make some new ones ^^!
I still remember the very first time I unlocked the act 5 merc I was so pumped to get one of the ones like the npc's that walk around The Bloody Foothills dual wielding. I hired like 4 different mercs hoping they would have a variation between a 2-hander and a dual wielding barb, but they are the only act that has only one type of merc. Seems like kind of a rip off, I feel like they could have had a lot more potential.
For sure, especially considering this was expansion content. Oh well, game balance and quirks in old games, can't help it - This wouldn't have been the case if it was not such a old game.
One of my favourite builds on a5 merc was lawbringer, treachery and vamp gaze. Lawbringer punches way above what you'd think, combined with the fade/IAS of treachery and the life steal and DR of gaze
You look like you could afford last wish, treachery and eth andys. That would be insane damage and Defense.
yep, looking into getting Last wish and more atm :) Could be fun to see on live.
I wish Reaper's Toll wouldn't exist. People would use barbarian mercs a lot more since you can give them Lawbringer to proc Decrepify. But since you can proc Decrepify anyway with Reaper's Toll it's way better to use the desert guys since they get auras as well. Mercs are so unbalanced.
Hell yes. If Blizzard was to change any gameplay or balance issues with HD version it would be merc's. Act 2 merc is often better dmg than even lower geared actual characters.
But I have soon gathered items I need to test out some stuff on live. I cant say too much yet, but I think Last wish, Andy with IAS/ED jwl (or charm) and forty wins...That might aura was way strong...Think I had 7.2k max dmg.
@@Djuntas u know what's crazy I've made low lvl act2 mercs with lvl 53
and below gear and these guys would be able to dominate Act, 2 nightmare to act 3 hell mode. Crescent moon in a threasher, gulliame face, and Treachery. 15 Ias jewel in helm.
Act 2 merc 4 attacks per sec, 3k dmg per sec, and static field procs.
@@Djuntas eth lastwish, cb , eth fort, gulliame helm with 15 ias jewel. 7.5k dmg
Act 3 mercs are useless, a lvl 95, decked out lightning Merc , dmg is equal to a lvl 30 decked out act 2 merc.
Last Wish in an eth Collosus Blade is the way to go :) Prolly Andy Face for IAS, and Fortitude for raw Damage.
I kinda want to try this now on live :o Might do it actually. Just hard to get runeword last wish in such blade. Good idea with andy face over arreats!
mine is wrecking with "kingslayer","fortitude",crown of thieves(um)

1:07 these are two different swords, Colossus Blade(479% enhanced dmg) and Colossus Sword(450% enhanced dmg).
Just the max. dmg is the same.
yes, screwed up the item a bit :P When I was making it I remembered wrong.
In PvP this Merc is actually quite good with Death Colossus as it hits hard :P

How does it stack up to a act 2 BOTD warpike might?
I am not entirely sure, but the Act 5 Merc has a Special Power Attack which can stagger opponents, also the Glacial Spike freezes them. So if you BM , I would say this is the weapon to go. I should test this out on a Act 2 merc though.

450% ed is maximum possible on rare items unless u socket them with something that adds ed
I made an ebug lawbringer colossus blade and I think 'bone' runeword shark um um I think. It has ctc bone armor and bone spear

You should test azurewrath, might not be good dmg Wise, but the aura is rly nice When your teleporting around..
Awesome video! Haven't really used the act 5 merc before but i guess it'd be interesting to use to change things up a bit! Sucks that you can't give them a shield!

My MalUmGulFal(on eth balrog) ElSolDolLo(on eth boneweave) and andy's(+fire res jewel) easily solos diablo with my warcrys. I could test it out without them and tell you how he performs if you want.
Your barb's BO's or? Yea I imagine using BO's goes a long way :)
DjuntasGaming yes, with my shouts he gets to 4k life and 30k def. I'll try it with normal conditions in the near future
I just tried it out and for some reason diablo and duriel would chase me instead of attacking my merc. My merc was able to hit mephisto until he was on 20% health and then died. Andy seems a lot harder though, I even gave my merc an antipoison elixir which brought him to 95res and he died after I gave him 3 strong reg. potion and Andy was on 20% health. With BO's he shouldn't really lose health against them and can solo some ubers.
yep, it sure aint strong, BUT I will have tested out botd and last wish soon!
why not Oath ? eth balrog blade as usual (avg dmg is equal to collosus, but speed is 5 faster)
Hm, did consider it, but I think its raw damage doesn't make up for its lack of other stats? For people interested: diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Oath_Rune_Word
Why not botd and egaze for life steal?
Arreat's helm is better choice I would say, but gaze is very nice for DR. I talk about BOTD end of video,
PB is best on him as weapon. But even with PB he is still worse than act 2
Phase blade grief, death or something else?
if i remember correctly pb grief is best on him, but as i said act2 is better anyway.

uhm, thats a perfect botd staff :P But I should had manually made a BOTD in sword...I was still figuring out hero editor / being lazy back then.
