I’ve loved Gedda’s voice for over 50 years, since discovering it on the famous recording of “Carmen” with Callas on LPs. He is still, for me, the greatest Don Jose, Alfredo, Werther, Faust, Nadir, Lensky, Max in “Der Freischütz”, Anatol in “Vanessa” and so many other tenor roles. This documentary is fascinating and adds so much to our understanding of his unique art. Thank you!
@@promptersbox Maestro, you missed the downbeat?! Gedda forgives you. And what a wonderful documentary! Gedda made his legendary mark!💖 Thank you!!! 😊❤
Intelectual singer ....and also gifted by great nature and tecnique

Thank you very much for the video? What did Gedda sing at the beginning? It's really nice
I have to look it up, but it’s a song by Rachmaninov. Will get the name.
Tchaikovsky: Don Juan's Serenade
What’s the song which begins the documentary? Is it Tchaikovsky?
I’m checking that.
