Pro tip... don't hit your motor with a hammer. You can push the brushes back and then insert a wire at the side of the brush holder to keep them in place. This will make it much easier to insert the rotor.
Thanks for the video. We are getting a Bronco back on the road that has been sitting for 23 years. It only had 3k miles on all the parts when they parked it- so we are going to try this on the fan.
Sir! Off topic :) Can you let us know the updated locations where DTVs are available cause I'm planning to buy a smartphone with DTV reciever... Thanks ;) I'm from Olongapo City, Phil. btw
As far as I know, this is the most updated list: Bacolod, Iloilo , Cagayan De Oro, Metro Cebu, Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Benguet, Rizal, Cavite, Davao. But even inside those areas, I imagine some places will get better signal than others. You might want to go to your local mall and try it in person before buying, to make sure you can get a signal in your area.
Sooo this video was pretty much pointless as you didn't even fix the motor and the actual steps you did show were not proper procedure because you said you wouldn't recommend doing it this way.

Tell that to Jeremy Clarkson... :D

never put oil on carbon brushes. just clean it with breakcleaner
Ah a vlog not related to traffic 😁 I was watching a related video about repairing a fan motor and voila your vid was recommended
The ridge on the worn commutator broke those brush holders. You have to remove the rotor carefully otherwise you cause more harm as we just saw.
Now I know why my fan blades are so noisy!!! Bought a "new" used one off Craigslist so I'll tear apart my old motors for fun...
This video should have been called: "How to break shit"
i would love to see more car repair videos from u sir
