Wow, I have been there for real. Gaslight is so real. I thought it was me, I was told I am a drama queen and I was emotional. Then I was told I need to express my feelings and communicate. I thank God, I have recovered from the heart break and trauma. I have learned so much from my DV experience and I now can pray my ex husband would learn from it too. Beautiful movie!! Frederick Leonard was just fabulous in his role! So manipulative yet so good with words! I loved his essay at the end of the movie while having his wife's head on his lap. 😄 Anthony and the house help' acting looked so real! It was overly sweet watching them... With that kind of acting, you would think they're dating in real life.😆
We need more movies like this. To educate ppl on how antagonising ppl can be. This is a true definition of a narcissist. They antagonise you then when you react they act like your the problem. This is a beautiful story. Honestly it’s only someone who wants to change that will change. Many people won’t hear word no matter how loud you are, how much you cry, even when you speak out, when you give them a dose of their own they will still gaslight light you. While watching this movie I was so angry. Those hurtful words from the husband they were really deep. Anyone who's in those kind of relationship need to make the necessary changes to put a stop to those kind of emotional abuse. The wife started to give her husband a dose of his own medicine and he had the nerve to get angry. Emotional abuse can destroy anyone. Love the maid. She was awesome. Love the ending. Everyone did an amazing job.
Alex character depicts the behaviour of a typical African man who believes that a man is the head of the family no matter what, whether wrong or right he call shots without any questions.
