    I had one in 88 rapid for 100 cc and quickest on road at time. I ended up on motorway by mistake and easily kept 70 mph speed limit until I could get back on to a normal road.

    The suzuki gp 100 was the fastest 100 of its time and faster than the yamaha yb 100 as I've owned both.

      Hi theo, would you mind sending me a pic of your cafe racer? Looking to build a gp100?

    Years ago I had a little 1980 something Yamaha 100 - don't know the model. My friends and I used to race each other on the local country roads and I don't think I got it much over about 65mph (100kmph approx), dependent on wind resistance and hills

      Nice! i can't wait to get my licence and ride around everywhere lol. was it by any chance an rx100?

      Tbh I have no idea - it was a long time ago. Small bikes interest me because you can go flat out and beating your friend relies on other things. We used to crouch down as far as possible, trying to look ahead from below the handlebars in order to cut wind resistance.

      They are fun because you can race ya mates without speeding! haha yeah the awkward aerodynamic positions ive tried lol

      Yep. Full throttle and things like who can corner without slowing more than the other, or who is lighter so they get up a hill a little bit faster...

      I remember the Yamaha had all four gears going the same way, rather than first being different. I think it would have been from the early/mid 1980s. Does that help work out what model it is?

    not bad to say it isnt a gp100.. wrong tank, wrong clocks, wrong lights to be a gp100.

    • @marlinrobertson5464
      @marlinrobertson5464  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope you are incorrect it is the New Zealand spec GP100 with GS125 lights clocks and different tank cover

      been doing them since i was 14 back in 1994. my first one was a field bike and wanted a dt175mx so had to put the gp100 bk on road to sell and fund the dt.. great bike the gp. so easy to build and repair. there simplicity is brilliant and one of fastest 100c,s out there
