I am truly one of the OG’s of the FGC they used to call me 2d Tony so I really enjoy seeing your compadre right there with the gray hair because mine is very much salt and pepper now yeah bro and from watching your videos I think you live in the same area. I can see your progress this week. You're executing that corner Super Combo about three times, and although one was a miss, you now know you can do it. Now, think "OK, what's next?" after landing that combo. Lab three possible scenarios that could follow, so you're prepared and don't mess up. Once I land this combo, what will I do next? Consider a Meaty combo, Shimmy Combo, Drive Rush Pressure, grab loop, or jumping combo. Then, learn another layer-what to do if my opponent blocks it, backdashes, or does a DP Reversal-and lab a Punish combo. I found Zaferino1's guidance very helpful in understanding how to play this game.
Some things to note: For Blanka - The (non-EX) air ball can be grabbed on block...no contest. Against a diamond level Ken player, you can get away with DI-ing Jinrai kick on the last kick You guys do too many unsafe moves in neutral...all anyone needs to do is just wait patiently and punish your mistakes.
new characters always come with growing pains. unless its one of those rare accusations when the character is just made for you(ive never experienced this) your gonna have to hold the L's. the problem comes when you know just swapping back will produce better results. you start saying"i would have won with X" and your looking real hard at that character select screen.
Love what you guys doing but the lack of fundamentals is hard to see. What made this series pop off was that you both were playing regularly. Ernesto you need a solid week to get the fundamentals down for one character. Im doing it now with ken; started friday ass and now im ok. Play some casuals; change your psn account/make a psn account to lab without us knowing its you but you gotta progress bro cos we want you to 🙏🏾💪🏾
you guys kill me and i could not care less if you win or lose, the comedy is all that matters. With that being said maybe you guys should start a button check account on a new game and work your way up. DLow might be ready for that level but maybe nesto is a little rusty and needs to fight people more on his level. No shade all love.
