Banks are not allowed to invest directly in MFs. They can only be agent.

Because bank has to rotate the money.. take money from customers and give loans to customers will create money.. they cannot invest customer’s money for long term like 15 to 20 tyears in mutual funds.. bank’s cannot survive in this scenario

Banks can't able to manage that much money in risk assets.
It's simple like if you only have 1 lakh rupees then you can able to give that money to your friend or relative who are goodfor 1.5 rupees interest but if you have 10L you can't give all to the single person you may wanted to give multiple persons. Then if you have 1cr it's extremely difficult to generate 1.5 per month means 18% a year then what you will do you may invest 10L in Fd and 10L in gold, 10L in land, 10L in savings account 10L in stocks, 10L in mutual funds like that so now average interest may be reduced to 10% but you are securing your money and generating above the inflation that's what the banks are doing by giving home loans at lowest rate

What is suggested is good. For a common man it may not be practical unless he has some knowledge on mutual funds.

Why bank is loosing lot of money, we need to ask banks to deposit in Mutual funds, they will get 4.5 crs instead of getting 1.6 crs from customer by giving loan.
