david's such a cool guy. i remember at one of his concerts, some guy asked him for his shoes cause it was his birthday. (random i know.) but he still did it nonetheless. along with like 1230948124 encore songs cause the people wouldn't stop shouting encore
@CrystalRiverProject I was merely observing that your comment did not paint you in a positive light. Since you don't care what anyone thinks, do go on, and best wishes in your future as a commenter on music, literature, all the arts, and personal maturity and development of others. Futile though it may be, I will reiterate this: negative comments about others almost always tell more about the person commenting than the subject of their commentary.
G/B got an F# in it around the 16th century when the major seventh chord became commonplace. i.e. G,B,D,F#. this is pretty common knowledge that i would expect someone such as yourself to know, who thinks he knows enough about music to insult other musicians. This would be the first inversion of a Gmajor seventh chord ( GMaj7/B ) G/B for short ( a common practise for songwriters to do).
You can't judge someone on there outward appearance, it is the condition of the heart that matter!!! Back up your argument with scripture, here's my reference...it's NIV so it's easy to understand. Matthew 7:20 - "Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."(NIV)
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
I gotta laugh ... DC doesn't know the chords to his own song? C'mon! This guitar part is way simpler than he's making it. Just listen to the bass ... the "joyful noise" part is based in Bm, D and E. It's all about the percussive strum on the funk rhythm. My band does this song and knocks it outta the park every time, and we don't do any of this nonsense. And since when does a G/B chord have an F# in it? That's why Crowder just makes me shake my head. He can be so good, and so ... goofy.
@patty7beth ... not terribly concerned about what you think I'm trying to do here. At one point, people were PAYING for this how-to video. He ought to offer more than "like ... whatever those chords are." Kind of like his forward to a Christian book that included the comment, "This seems like a good book. It has good weight." Not funny. DCB is phenomenal. DC is a great worship leader. But maybe it's time to grow up and act like an adult instead of being funny for college kids. Just sayin' ...
@spec1alolymp1st You can tell that this guy never attended school because of his horrible grammar. He is the quintessence of why our school systems need to be rebuilt. I hate to be a grammar natzi, but if he's going to be a antichurch natzi, I must fight back.
W God nothing is impossibe!..well...with lots of faith
God bless you
This is one of my absolute favorite songs in the world! David is a genious!
What a neat guy ... what a great song!
You have a blessed day.
I agree, people are to see the inside of our hearts by our WORDS and ACTIONS, not by the outward appearance of our bodies
wow i have never seen david crowder b4 till now its good to put a face with a name
the beauty makes it easy (with some practice)
The easy way to play it is to capo to the fifth fret so that C is G position, D is A position and Bsus7 is Esus7, and so on.
Crowder rox and if I had fingers like his, I think I would have an easier time at guitar ;)
He has spider fingers.
Sometime before October of 2006.
Around 2000 or 2001 I imagine.
How to play on the gutair make a joyful noise I will not be silent

I wonder why he says, "Worship leader AND Texan...."
His fingers on that guitar remind me of a moving spider.
can somebody help me find the full bass tabs for this song
Christ is with a capital "C" . Many people keep Christ with a small c in their life. Then He is an idol made in a image of our own imagination.
anyone have any idea when this was recorded?
Credits at the end say 2001
It's from the 1998 album "All I Can Say."
What kind of guitar is that?

Goatman!!!
I 👍
You didn't play it that way. I'm sure you played Bm, D, E. All the standard voicings.
Crowder goes all Dave Matthews on this song. Very cool guitar.

@CrystalRiverProject um, dude, jawing on about how much better you are at playing DCB's song than Crowder is doesn't make you look good. Just saying.
Lol not what you were expecting huh?
