Mirko Jozic was Yugoslavia's coach. After some years, Jozic came to Chile to become the coach of the chilean team Colo-Colo. With him on the bench, Colo-Colo won its first, and only, Copa Libertidores in 1991. He also coached Croatia in the 2002 World Cup.
The Chileans were clearly supporting Yugoslavia in that match because after Germany defeated Chile in semifinals some German players cleaned their under arms with the Chilean flag showing themselves through the hotel window...and that was considered a big offense by the Chilean press. Fortunately, Yugoslavia won. =).
