Nice. You can expect hashrates in the range of 13.5k to 15k. I received another box of 5x ryzen 9 5950x , msi b550 pro mobo's and corsair vengeance ram(not the best but will work) I cool my 5950x cpu's with deepcool ls520 Aio's. Got it at one hella bargain.
@@Lelando100 great bro. I need to get a better cooler, currently using an ancient one, cooler master hyper tx3 evo with noctua nt-h1 thermal paste. Hope does not fry my 5950x.
This is actually quite impressive, if i am not mistaking this is the combined hash-rate of 4 3900X/5900X but the combined power consumption would probably be more than 100W higher 🔥🚀 The only downside with server grade hardware is the price of entry, it's quite high lol Looking forward to the overclocking and undervolting results, that should be quite interesting 🙃
After hearing RandomX likes fast memory, I'm curious if have you compared any of the Ryzen 5/7000X with their 5/7000X3D variants? (does the extra cache help that much) ... also I would really like to see a hash per watt comparison chart showing the various chips you have tried RandomX on.
You notice the MASSIVE jump in moneroocean mining profits the last few days mining rx/0? I was getting around 35Kh/s on a 3970X and now sit around 80Kh/s in payout metrics. Wondering if they added a new coin that uses rx/0 or something really weird happened to monero network.
It would be interesting to see the hashrate with lower amounts of RAM, but still in 8 channels. e.g. 4GB or 8GB sticks instead of the 16GB sticks. Also, 2nd Gen EPYC according to wikipedia have memory support up to 3200Mhz, which could give it a further bump?
I think it would be great to see how this stacks up against a theoretical multi 7950x build. To me this seems worth it in perms of both power and total cost to buy, but that’s a rough estimate as I don’t have a 7950x. Also, my 7502p runs at 392h/S per thread with 3200mhz memory. It’s the same cpu core architecture as the 7742 so I would assume that your hashes would go up by 7-8k across all of your 128 threads by using 3200mhz ram
RM Wow 🤩 that is some amazing data! I truly would not think dual channel would drop that much, this also tells me how very important it is to also use very fast ram! Not just the amount of channels but how fast the channels are running! so buying cheap slow ram is not the best idea lol .. truly solid information, now for the big question for the cost getting 48kH on RandomX at 336w is it worth it?
looking at Dual Epyc 7551's. They are $100 vs $1000 (ebay prices). Costs for the MB and Ram are what gets you. MB and Ram would work for either setup and you could also upgrade to Dual 7742 later.

yep start with 4x 32gb sticks add the other 4 later. The efficiency wasnt that different 4vs8

it kinda pains me to see the cooler on backwards (however if you don't put it in a case it shouldn't matter)
the numbers look way better than 7950x.. but, how is the stability over long time period?
