I hate it when I have not been hiking for a while and feeling really sluggish but stopping in a real nice hotel is a good excuse. Real good path to follow to the top and some great views there so nothing wrong with a 360, cheers Alan

I definitely go in spurts when I hike and film. Probably not the best plan to go from nothing to a lot in a little bit, lol. That said, this was a decent first hike - nothing too hard - and the views were great!

So nice you treated yourselves to a nice hotel on your trip! A lovely park. You find great hiking spots all over the planet! The layered rice fields are so cool, definitely not seeing those here in our climate. That IS a very wonderful Godzilla t-shirt Josh haha! So nice of her mom. The views from up on the Ridgeline of the ocean are so beautiful. Great job making it to the top of the pass! The 360 degree video was a great idea to show the stunning views you were surrounded by! Another fantastic adventure!

Akane and I are both very frugal people - so we are slowly learning to loosen the purse strings a bit, lol. Really glad this was our first hike - pretty easy and lots of fantastic views!

I absolutely love that Godzilla shirt! I grew up watching godzilla movies as a kid, and I still love them! I'm not sure if you've seen the latest Japanese godzilla movie Godzilla Minus One, but it was a masterpiece! That was a beautiful hike as well. It looks a lot like hiking on the coast of Central California. I am happy you had a phenomenal trip in Japan so far! I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks brother! It's strange, because I don't actually think I've seen any of the movies. I couldn't tell you a single plot point - not even now Godzilla came to be, lol. This area was beautiful. One of my fav hikes from the trip I'd say! Since I loved the scenery here, I think some hikes in California would do me good!

It's awesome! We are fortunate to have family living there, so it provides us the opportunity to visit every few years. We try and explore a bit while there, and we love the country. There is a TON to see and do across the country, so it's a place I think she be on everyone's bucket list!

Way to rock out Japan! Man, I may have missed you there...we were just there in January. Not sure when you were down? We were north, in Nikko, Tokyo, Fuji area. At times you got to treat yourself. Ridge hikes are the best. I miss those layered rice fields, and love Japan, I worked in Shikoku back in 99! So it was fun to take the kids back. Oh man, I wish I could have seen (Connie?) poke a wild boar with her stick!!! I learned there are bears in Japan, this time around...I didn't realize it. Rad hike, keep rocking it.

This particular one was quite awhile ago, but the last time we were there was this past November. I am just editing those videos now. We try and go somewhere different every time we go. Her parents live in Fukushima prefecture and the last time we went was down in Hamamatsu where her brother lives. We plan on going back next year (every 2 years or so) so excited for that. Akane would have not only speared that boar, but would have cooked it too, lol. Still waiting for that to happen, lol.

Ahh Akane, that is it. That is awesome, she sounds like a great defender, and someone who can bring the bacon home as well! Japan is a great place to head to every few years! @@DestinationEarth
