What an astonishingly moving event, my word !!! I visited you on the 40th anniversary of the opening of your museum. I wish I had been there 10 years later to witness this magnificent light performance on which I wholeheartedly congratulate you ! Vincent's letters, life story and oeuvre have meant a lot to me, more than you could possible imagine, and so has my visit to your unique Museum. Each and every room, each and every work of art I saw for hour on end, not to mention the café Le Tambourin 🍵 , still linger in my eyes, in my mind and in my soul as if I had been there yesterday. Dear Van Gogh Museum, I'd like to congratulate you once more ! P.S.: dear Vincent, Theo and Jo, I hope one day we'll meet among the stars, those that you, dearest Vincent, depicted as no other artist has ever done nor will ever do.

All that technology, all that funding, all that publicity and they basically spell out “Vincent” with illuminated drones ... an underwhelming celebration of Vincent Van Gogh and his work. Meanwhile in June of 1889 Vincent paints The Starry Night from the east facing window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a truly astonishing, astronomical painting of a star filled night sky, a painting that brings the viewer to the very edge of eternity, a painting and a mind that encourages us to look beyond the temporal, a painting which both excites the heart and mind, but more importantly nourishes the soul. Vincent made all this with a few tubes of oil paint, some brushes, a canvas, his Dutch mind was set on fire by the up-lift of grace, a pilgrim in a strange land, who helped map our way ahead, beyond the stars, helping us to see, with eyes of the heart. Now that’s truly dynamic, truly. Thank you Vincent.
