    Thanks so much for this video, changed my spring that had snapped in same place . Was easy thanks to you. Didnt need to loosen the plastic wiper trim, had an access hole. Thanks again.

    Thanks for this. My spring is broken. Spotted it while I was fitting new brake pads. Always nice to know what's ahead of me before starting :-)

    A simple rear suspension arm replace on my Vectra needed an 18mm on either end. Even an 18mm tube socket. So buy an 18mm! I'm sure I used it on a rattly fiesta drop link. which needed an 18mm cone spanner. That part of the anti roll/ stabiliser bar is called a drop link. Thanks, Great Video.

    Thanks for the video as I am going to do a favour for someone elderly. A longer look at the top cap rubber would have been useful in case in needs changing at the same time. Thanks again.

      The top is solid nylon with a rubber insert. I would be very surprised if it needed changing

    32 seconds , just above your finger is the open flap to access 3rd bolt head :)

    I'm just about to change one of these on my daughter's car. That rubber sleeve on the bottom coil is a OEM water trap and I'm sure this will just accelerate rusting of the new spring. I'm going to fit a length of heatshrink sleeving to the spring as a better option. Thanks for the video.

    on my Nissan note 2010 before removing the three top bolts you first need to mark the position with the top strut as there is considerable play, if you don't then the camber will need adjusting after completing the work, very informative Vid uploader, keep up the good work.

    • @SNORKYMEDIA
      @SNORKYMEDIA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm my bolt holes don't seem to have any play so can do nothing but agree....thanks for your kind comment

      Camber is not adjustable unless you replace 2 strut bolts with cammed bolts

    Hi Snorkymedia.Mine is 58 plate same way the passenger side bottom part of the spring snapped.Last night I've tried to replace them on both sides,all good up until the point where I had to unscrew that top bolt on the strut.It's so rusted,I managed to brake it loose but couldn't completely remove it.The central bit with the allen key it's very rusty and I'm scared to not damage it.I almost unscrew the nut and I'm left with 2-3 spins on the nut probably,but gave up as it was getting late.And honestly I can't figure out how to get that out and replace it.It seems easy on the video but in reality not really 😅

      it Is easy if you dont have rusty nuts 8-). Is there any way you can get, say, mole grips onto the shaft of the strut between the spring loops near the top where it wont matter ie: the strut will never get so compressed it will reach the top. To be able to get the nut off else it is new strut time. New units are relatively cheap at about £75 minus the spring which you already have bought presumably. I got that price from carparts4less ( which is eurocarparts really)

      @@SNORKYMEDIA thank you,will try the mole grips before considering getting new struts.Thanks

    • @Ashurov-Khuseyn

      I have nissan note e11 (2012) the clutch pedal is hard how to make it softer. My lage became tired always.

    • @SNORKYMEDIA
      @SNORKYMEDIA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ashurov-Khuseyn the normal clutch pedal is not like this - sounds like you may have a problem perhaps with the slave cylinder - unfortunately this means clutch replacement as the slave cylinder and clutch bearing are all one unit. and if you need to tke the clutch out you might as well replace it - costs about £350 all in at a garage

    There is a flap to open that lets you access the 3rd nut, don't need to remove wipers
