Super cool video I like rebuilding old bikes years ago my neighbor was cleaning out his garage said hey come get all my bike parts you like building stuff I was young I started bringing it all home after a whole day of walking back and fourth I could build any kind of bike after that day lol my dad was not to happy
Bolt on skewers are a cheap way to get a little more BMX aesthetic. From a practical standpoint, they can also help lock down the back tire. When you really crank on it, the tire can slide forward in the dropout. The tire hits the frame, the chain comes off, you go OTB, there is blood. You get a scar. It’s a whole big thing. The bolt on skewers helped but I had to add a chain tensioner to totally solve the problem.
that looks great! I have a GT Tempest that has been converted to a BMX cruiser and it is a blast to ride, very smooth. My cruiser does have gears though as I live in a hilly place in the UK.
I had a pair of those Specialized cranks when I bought an S Works M2 back in 98. Super flexy, hated them. Upgraded to an xt crank within the first month 🤣
Really nice conversion my dude! I have one question, why did you go with the chain tensioner? reason I ask is the frame has vertical drops that would allow for almost if not perfect chain tensioning. OK the real and true reason is you may have a perfectly perfect reason that I don’t know about, and my pops always told me “the stupid question is the question that remains unasked.” 😎👍
The bearing race is upside down on the upper part of the headset. Did you flip it at some point? Also, that era of mountain bikes having short Head Tubes was a common design of many frames at the time. And hard to believe but some companies did actually spec bike frames based on a Center-to-Top measurement of the Seat Tube. It was not helpful at a bike shop trying to explain the vagueness of frame measurements in the 80’s - early 90’s to a customer. “Why is a 16.5” frame the same size as another company’s 18”?”……….

Awesome build I love it, but I don’t understand the derailer part. Why didn’t you add that?
The music was great lol you got that 1980/90 touch buddy :) your videos are super cool keep up the good work the bike turned out beautiful

Plain and simple. LOVE IT!

I think most MTB convert to single speed need chain tensioner if not chain will jump out because I ever come across that problem 😅
Amazing video love the style of the editing and love the build !
Love it. A lot of work that! Great colours too ❤
That came out really nice. The red ano is a great accent.
Great video thanks. How come you added that back chain extender thing?
She is pretty, I am a huge Redline fan too. 👍🏻

with the horizontal dropout you do not need a chain tensioner, other that that nice BMX style convertion.
nice work. some fatter tyres would be nice to see. Love how the stickers came out!!!
i always remove that little "guide" on the tensioner, chain seems to always hit it if it's just a hair off
Nice build 👍🏼
Why the tension wheel??
Where's the red anodized quick release pinz
lol why the derailer for a single speed bike lol
You measure a frame from the center of the cranks bolt to the center of the top tube
I recommend staying on the ground.....
beautiful build
Tacoma, Wa? If so, where can I meet up with you.
Meet up, and steal me that sweet bike from you. Tacompton style 💪🏿
NICE!!!!!! subscribed......
sweet build
Nice work ❤
Muy bonita. Se ve que su condición es muy cómoda
Should've put red tires on it!
Very tasteful
Thank you
That seat no good for long ride. Needs a cloud 9 seat ftw
chain still can shortened, its too long
👍🏻
Please please do a jump down vid 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Try to find the right gearing so you don’t have to use a chain tensioner
That really threw me off.
The build's not my style but I can still see that it's done right otherwise, so maybe its just aesthetic preference?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Esa fuera sido la bici de mis sueños de niño
That’s not how you measure a bike frame
BMX frames are measured center to center, but the way he did it _is_ generally how mtb and road bike frames are measured.
May I buy that?
