One thing I like about Jaden’s deck is the diversity of it. Although he was the protagonist of a series where archetypes became more of a thing, he includes monsters that are neither Elemental HEROs nor Neo-Spacians.
At 7:36 I found an error! Jaden suppose to mention card trooper’s special ability instead of Elemental Hero Sparkman
What’s the special ability of trooper?
Card Trooper: Once per turn, you can choose to send 1 to 3 cards from the top of your deck to the GY; it gains 500 ATK for each card sent to the GY this way, until the end of this turn. If it’s destroyed and sent to the GY, you draw 1 card.

When the 'villain' plays their lockdown strategy so well that the hero has to invent multiple new Monster cards on the spot to get out of it.

@@JDanimationsace Nah, but he definatly had to have a tailor make counter deck to the lock down. he could not win with the "usual" tactics of his deck. or atleast put in the sidedeck tech cards xD

As much fun as this duel was. I kinda wish Atticus was the one to free his sister. Worst case scenario he was forced to bring back Nightshroud to counter the Society of lights power.

Atticus should have dueled Alexis because they were both brainwashed and if anyone could bring His sister back from the darkness it's her older brother after all she did restore her brother's lost memories before he became Nightshroud.

If White Veil had the same effect as in the TCG, the moment it went to the Graveyard Jaden would've won due to the Destruction Cost. 3000 points of damage.

Somewhat true. They basically stopped developing her character once they found her brother. She could've been a more worthy ally who fought alongside Jaden and could hold her own against tough opponents instead of always needing to be rescued (or fighting a lot of one-off joke opponents.) They were hyping her up as a great duelist but abandoned that notion completely.
Agreed. She had several opportunities to win, but the plot made her keep misplaying.

Somehow the voice actor change seems fitting. The first VA came at a time when they were hyping her up to be one of the better duelists in the series. Then the other, less threatening came at a time when they abandoned her character development and she devolved into more of a useless side character.
Kinda wish we’d gotten this version of alexia for longer. Not to mention the deck.
Her and her deck had gotten so bland after awhile.
White Night Dragon needs more usage in TCG Decks. It's such a great card.

The brainwashing is... Complicated. It's FULL ON cult style crap where you need to be convinced to more of a degree than being a puppet, hence Chazz freeing himself at the end of his duel. Keep in mind, Sartorius also doubled down with hers right before this.

Jaden played pretty badly here. Either that or he had a bad hand and won due to plot armor. For example, there is no reason he should still have the Ojamas in his deck. Those aren't his cards even if it's an obvious call-back to Yugi vs. Joey under Marik's control.
He was convinced by Chazz and Atticus for this duel specifically to include those cards
Looks like this is the hardest duel that Jaden has ever faced. He can't use spells and traps.

Again like in their first duel they make Alexis missplay in order for Jaden to win, instead of just making Jaden play better. Had Alexis during the BP activated call of the haunted to bring back Snow Fairy, jaden would have never been able to activate his pot of greed and all of the other spells and alexis would have immediately won the duel next turn.

In the penultimate turn why Alexis didn't use Snow Fairy to destroy Spell Striker and then White Night Dragon to destroy Neos?
I might be wrong, but I think the monster summoned back by Cold Sleeper can't change battle positions.

I like to think this duel is what inspired them to give Alexis an ice themed deck in the manga. Too bad those ice cards weren't the best when they were printed

Hey ScarletKuriboh, in your video where Jaden dueled against Kaibaman, if Kaibaman is like Kaiba does that mean he's the #1 duelist in the spirit world and Dark Magician Girl is his rival (since we don't see Dark Magician spirit)?

@@Submissive-Soul He was hoping to get one of his graveyard effect monsters in the grave when he went to mill with card gunner’s ability. In this case it was his necroshade. However.. yeah that ability ain’t great but it has a greater purpose

I think it doesn't make sense how defeating someone in a duel undoes brainwashing. Where are the logistics?
Well Chazz was brainwashed when he lost to Sartorious and the others when Chazz defeated them. So you remove it the same way you get it, by loosing
Alexis seriously misplayed this duel. She sacrificed her queen and cold sleeper? Should have been a token and sleeper. On her last turn, she needlessly activated mst. She should have set it face down. On Jayden’s turn, when flare neos attacked, she should have played it on her white blizzard. This would have destroyed it and caused its effect to destroy another st on her field. With that, it would have been 3000 to 2900. Alternatively, even if it didn’t do that, (little known fact of the card), she would have taken some damage, but after that, jaden’s field would have been completely empty due to that pathetic fusion effect. Snow fairy for the win.

So Alexis honestly should have won this duel. For some odd reason she decides to target the Spell Striker with her dragon instead of getting rid of Neos whose in defense position and getting rid of spell striker with her other monster. Neo’s destruction would have resulted in Jaden taking 600 points from White Blizzard and then when Spell Striker was destroyed he would have taken an additional 600 and lost. Huge misplay Alexis. Even if she didn’t know Spellstriker’s ability, this would’ve been a better play and depleted more of Jaden’s resources. However, if we were to go by the RL TCG version of White Veil, then Alexis would’ve lost when White Veil got destroyed because upon its destruction it deals 3000 life points to its owner

@@Viper6390 Youre wrong. Snow Fairy was summoned by Cold Sleeper. Its effect makes it so whatever it summons cannot change battle position.
White Veil also wasnt a real card till like 10 years after this episode aired lol. So it didnt have the LP lose effect till a decade later.
@@Februarys Ok she wouldn’t have won that turn but if she still had attacked Neos instead of Spell Striker she would have won on her next turn. Jaden would have lost 600 life points. On his turn he would’ve drawn Scarab. With Neos gone, Jaden would be unable to contact fuse and make a comeback. He would not play Scarab because it would just get destroyed. Even if he attacked with Spell Striker, Alexsis had enough life points to survive and even with Spell Strikers ability Jaden would lose due to Spell Strikers destruction. Still a misplay from her and it’s not her only misplay. She could’ve brought back her snow fairy with call of the haunted to interrupt Jadens activation of Pot of Greed. Jaden would’ve been in huge trouble as a result. Jaden also played this duel badly. He oddly decides not to go on the offensive with Sparkman to get rid of her monster and decides to summon Ojama Black in defense.
@@CharmCityGamer No, white veil reads, “When this face up card in a Spell or Trap Zone leaves the field, that player takes 3000 damage.” So Jaden removing White Veil with MST if this was the RL TCG version would have caused Alexsis to lose the duel.

You know what's dumb? She could have stopped him from activating his spells with call of the haunted after his battle phase.... which would have changed the duel drastically and prevented him getting pot of greed off or his spark blaster.... Alexis is a shit duelist.

Why on Earth did Alexis wait until her turn to play Call of the Haunted? Had she activated it after her monster was destroyed, Jaden wouldn't have been able to play Pot of Greed, O - Oversoul, nor Spark Blaster and Card Trooper would be stuck in attack mode with very low ATK. She could have won.

They should've had Jaden play something else instead. The Ojama did absolutely nothing the entire duel (if anything, it only contributed to his hand being bad.)

If Yoshi Gorosaurus dueled brainwashed Alexis, that would be cool! After all, Alexis didn't know that Yoshi joined the Underworld Zone with Zane as his vengeance, since she joined the Society Of Light. Likewise, Alexis was shocked to hear from Yoshi that the Yoshi she knew was gone after getting beaten by Yoshi & his new Underworld Dragon Deck.
