yeah, I just did a bunch of videos on how we shouldn't be eager to expand and here I am announcing my new chameleon! And, I truly am downsizing. This was my exception because the enclosure is ready and sitting empty waiting for the right small chameleon to be found. So this one has been fully vetted and approved by the Calummanati! But the irony on the timing is kind of funny. :)

I think you should go for mantellas instead of dart frogs, since they’re native to Madagascar

I agree that mantellas would make it geographically consistent. But I love azureus too much. There is no other for me.

Love the idea of cohab enclosures, though I often feel they end up being worse conditions for both or all animals involved. The geckos and chams will definitely mix well, since they're from the same place, but I would be afraid of the geckos eating the darts since very few dartfrog species are bigger than a phant's head. Disease concerns are also higher with animals as geographically separate as these, though captive bred individuals have a lower risk. You would likely need to pick a Phyllobates or Mantella species to ensure that they are too big to eat. These species would also stay on the ground far more than any Dendrobates or Oophaga.
I'm very excited to see how the enclosure turns out, and I hope your fair little lady thrives in it. Someday I'll catch the morning streams more regularly!

I co-habitate a Sekorae with a Panther in a very large enclosure (6') that is bio active and lots and lots of foliage. the conditions are consistent with their real outside environment . I too was VERY, VERY careful with this. I started the pairing with possible (adult feeder Anoles). My Panther has had no interest in eating them nor has he been defensive over them. I often catch them sharing a basking branch. After this pairing confirmed my test, I finally introduced the Sekorae. The great part of these too is 1 is Diurnal and the other is Mostly Nocturnal and they hunt at different times of the day. They have seen each other at times and the Panther has clumsly walked on the Sekorae when hes resting on a traveling portion of a branch. But ive kept a VERY, VERY close observation of the pairing and no agression has been displayed from either. I may be lucky that my particular Panther is open to sharing his environment. But I do fear of adding such a small species like Darts. I will be following Bill closely on his research of this pairing and hoping for success from him like i have. But in the End I do agree with Bill, this shouldnt be tried by anyone that doesnt have experience with either of the breeds.

I will be using azureus which is much bigger than a phant would think of for food.
