This is a very special movie, it was made on very low budget, shot In place like friend's backyard etc. It is very well written and beautifully made. The message is clear and very special especially for Indian youth. It touches your core , fills you with hope, makes you wanna be braver, makes you wanna be good and makes you smile. It is very highly appreciated and will live on forever. Interestingly, Tamasha displayed something similar in story, but in a very different and interesting way. It seemed to me if the boy in Udaan became aengineer, Tamasha would be what happens to him later.
Actually apart from following your dreams, it's also about standing up to an abusive relationship. The father in the story was physically abusing the guy and the small kid, who is the guy's step brother. It's a beautiful movie made with a lot of heart. You should watch it.

In case Achara is still wondering about the bang at 02:45, its trying to depict the metal press that straightens or moulds old metal. In the movie this has two significant meanings. The literal meaning is that the lead character (Rohan) is working in that metal factory of his father's and the sub-textual meaning is depicting how pressure is being put on something which naturally has a different form, symbolizing the pressure put by the father on the son. A very interesting and thoughtful way to make the trailer, we recommend you to watch this movie for sure !

i watched this today, today i realised that i lost my 17 years self somewhere behind i wanted to be game developer or cyber security or something related to internet but as soon as i turned 18 i had to join police department (because my dad was policeman and he died when i was 3 so i had to take his job), i remember how it shattered my dreams i had no place to go but to do that job, i wanted to run away i still want to but i have to fulfill needs of my family my sister and my mother. i remember how badly they tortured me for 2 years, how i lost everything but now there's no going back i dropped my dream and persuing another career option hope i make through it.
You should definitely watch this. This movie should be your top priority. It is an astounding movie with sublime music. By the way, good god I love Achara Kirk. Hope James and Achara Kirk!

The child never got the love and care from his father and there was emotional distance + the dad is very strict and mono syllabic. The child expects love from his father but the father is a dick head and the child finally breaks out.
