    Alysa is brilliant and brave to hint at what’s under the surface. We need to look deeper than just this recent Olympics. Ever since entering senior competitions, Trusova has always placed silver or bronze. Even as the “Quad Queen,” she has never won gold in a major senior-level competition. If she were a man, she could be neck-to-neck with Nathan Chen for gold.
    From Wikipedia, Trusova “is the 2022 Olympic silver medalist, the 2021 World bronze medalist, a two-time European bronze medalist (2020 and 2022), the 2019 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, and a four-time Russian national medalist (silver in 2019 and 2022; bronze in 2020 and 2021).”
    It must be frustrating to work so hard and do things no other woman can do, but not receive top recognition for it at least once. The system does not reward her, but people who understand appreciate more than the imperfect scoring system of figure skating.
    I applaud all these young women for their hard work. Even if accolades, money, fame is never fairly distributed, the most important thing is always to do your personal best and live according to our own truth.

    I personally think she was angry because they announced that Kamila would be skating both programs in the Team event when they could have chosen to put her in one of them. I was actually surprised when they did that and they gave the dumbest reason....they basically said that they didn't want the girls friendship to be tested so they just chose to put Kamila in for both. I thought for sure they were going to have Trusova do the free skate and Kamila the short. And because of that decision everyone won gold except her including the one girl that should have never been allowed to compete....Kamika.... Sorry, you fail a drug test.. you're out. The fact that she even skated was B.S. and I'm Russian. Then Trusova does her free skate where she lands 5 quads (not all perfect, but 5 landed for the first time ever).. and loses by 4 points.... No entiendo como dejan a esa mujer entrenar a alguien y más a chicas tan jóvenes, todas sus ganadoras de oro normalmente se retiran después de 3-4 años con ella no solo por la edad sino que está entrenadora las desgasta por completo con dietas extremas, sobre-entrenamiento que contribuye al desgaste así como abuso mental/emocional.

      i actually think she is trying to stay out of drama because people literally asked her, and she said she wasn’t going to answer it and not talk about it- she literally did not gossip or talk bad about anyone, she was literally trying to get people to stop talking about it. just because she was laughing doesn’t mean gossip, and she was laughing at the commenters and told them to “think and have common sense,” not laugh at the situation. alysa is a sweetheart, and knows better and would never intentionally do this to someone, especially as it has been done to her before, so she knows what it’s like.

      @@rachelbednar2561 You are right that the clip is taken out of a broader context, and maybe I am being over-sensitive. I still think Alysa lays out a “gossip seed” by hinting something which she doesn’t want to say “not to get into trouble again” (her own words). There is so much bashing on Eteri’s team, to the point where it’s conceived legit for everybody to say whatever they like. Alysa’s comment contributed to this. That’s what I don’t like.

    • @rachelbednar2561
      @rachelbednar2561 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      i understand that, but alysa loves and looks up to the eteri girls and seems like such a sweet kid. i don’t think her intentions are hate, especially because she loves alina and anna so much. she said herself in another interview, her mental age is like 7, so maybe she just needs to mature a little more or at least speak with clearer words, so fans don’t think she’s trying to gossip. i mean russian media has done the same to alysa, and she also has an abusive life with her father.
      no excuse, i get that, but because she knows what it’s like to have people gossip about her and spread so much hate and threats about her since juniors, i think she understands, and would never intentionally hate on someone else, as she endured a lot of it from usa and rus stans herself. but, i agree, although she was asked by fan this question, she could have worded it better or have not laughed when responding, while telling people to stop and think because then people took her words poorly. i think her laughing changed the meaning and context and made her look bad, and if she didn’t laugh, it wouldn’t be seen as gossip. she just needs to learn to have a poker face for things like this, but ik it’s probably hard for her. but, she does need to learn because then she won’t be seen as gossiping or making fun of the situation.

      she wasn’t speculating though?! she literally was asked a question, and told fans to stop and think before they speak, and said she wasn’t going to comment on the situation, just because she laughed, doesn’t mean she gossiped. the fans brought it up, blame them. she worded it wrong, i can admit that, but her intentions were not of harm and gossip, even if the laughing brought bad timing, especially because she’s been on the other side of gossip before, so she knows how it feels, and is a sweet kid, she would never be like this intentionally. she literally has said many times she looks up to anya and alina, that is one of the reasons why her program this season was gypsy dance, and she has fangirles over them before.
