Vids have helped so much with my anxiety
Im hearing ya mate, love these vids especially when things get too much.
@@LawnTips Doing a lot better. Now back to working and spending my free time in the yard.
@@brandonseekamp6311 Good on ya Brandon. Lawn/garden and positive mental health go hand in hand. Glad you're smiling mate
Great video, I noticed you have some grass growing in between your slabs......glad to see your only human after all lol !
My heart would be in my mouth, holding my breath when I mow over the plugs in the green
Good morning from FL. Love the vids and I've learned a lot over years of following your channel. Keep up the great work!
Yo mate, whaddup? Welcome to another lawn tip vid 🧢🕶🔄
O degrees F (-17 C) right now where I live in the US so trying to soak up the sunshine through this video. Thanks for giving me summertime while we have snow all over.
Urea absolutely stitched me in granular form with burning 🤣 will apply like this in future 🙌
Yessss Wednesday Vid, next purchase is the edger/landscape combo for sure!
Cheers for this man, trying urea for the first time, this was just what I was looking for 👍
Yo mate what up 👌 nice work Ben good to see the tiftuf is coming along cheers
Hey mate..I'm plugging my back lawn & have that same nylex 5 litre sprayer..where abouts did u get that red t jet nozzle from ? Cheers
I got this one from here mate: www.drnozzle.com.au/shop/backpack-sprayer-nozzle-pack/402PACK
KBG, excellent choice sir. Thats what Id put in if I has the climate👍
Ben mate - Love these mid-week surprises - Awesome vid as always
That tiff is looking beaut mate, awesome to hear the Urea tips.
I'm struggling with my QLD Blue atm, until I can do my full reno in Oct with Royal Bengal.
Love the work mate, and always looking forward to the next 👍🏼 ⛳️ 😎
It stresses me out when you don’t whipper snip first, so thanks maaaate
Mint vid as always mate. Cheers 👍
Filling in nicely!
Looking great, Ben! Jealous of the temperature! Buried under a few feet of snow here in Indiana, USA. Can't wait for warm temps for my rye!
Yo mate, what up?
Can't wait for the shirts to rock up 🤙
WHOA! That was some fast spreading since the last video!
I still don't understand what happened to cause bare sports on the green?
Glad to see you back online again! How does this type of lawn handle a week or so of solid rain? I used to have a Sir Walter buffalo lawn and when it rained hard for a few days, if you walked on it, it turned muddy. What’s this lawn like?
Fine if you have good drainage. We had a week of rain a few weeks back and it was fine.
But it comes down to your soil profile mostly.
So applying to the leaf is more beneficial when using urea?
Killing it Ben 👌👌
How's your neighbour down the road kikuyu going? Keen on an update on that.
KBG all the way! My newly seeded lawn last August was supposed to be 80/20 KBG/PRG but after touching up with PRG its more like 60/40.
Good old smart phones literally watching why hand watering the lawn 😂😂😂
You should do the Kentucky in either the front or the back. The. You can compare between the two throughout the season.
Brother, that landscaping blade can you run that along the concrete edges without it affecting the blade or are you just that good you don't touch the concrete?
I'd love to see some kentucky blue in that lawn... you wont regret it.
Have you thought about having you urea in a small tank mixed with water to ad in your irrigation system?
Hey mate what kind of whipper is that? Never seen that before. Awesome.
Loving the tunes on this vid. No offence to the music you usually put on but this stuff is heaps better. Keep it up👍
@@LawnTips My bad. I need to pay more attention. The lawn is looking mint by the way.
@@angusr7805 not a worry man! Still got a bit to go, but it’s getting there 👌🏽
Love it! I'm a bit of a noob, but why is the green so much harder to look after than the rest of the lawn? It doesn't seem to be doing as well despite more TLC than the other lawn. Is it the type of grass?
YESSSS! Do the Blue/Rye mix.
Do you have a video/review of the wire wheel head you are using on the whipper snipper?
Hi Ben, very topically relevant vid for me this one. Trying to close over similar patches in the same grass. I have 2 questions. 1. I should avoid PGR until I am happy with how it looks? 2. How would you change this process if the area is shaded for a few hours a day compared to your area which gets mostly full sun exposure?
I live in south east Queensland if that is relevant
Cheers
I am desperately looking forward to having a mow, can't remember the last time I saw the sun either
Hey ben, you should put blower cam up or a reel mower cam
What type of cutter head is that on your whipper snipper?
I was just thinking about using urea, and you put up a vid on the subject. Ben, the lawn psychic 😁 I was wondering your thoughts on carbon coated urea, which is supposed to be slow release - any merit to using it in the cooler months for warm season turf?
Curious to know what brand/make of edger you use? That head you use for the horizontal trim - can't find anything similar for the major brands.
Hey Mate
Thinking of making a green, I’ve got about 20m x 20m. Would you suggest laying turf, or starting from seed? What grass do you reckon? Live close to the coast about an hour from Byron Bay. Also, what’s a good mower for that? I’m new to all this garden stuff. Love the vids. Thanks.
Hey mate..How often can i spoon feed my lawn with the sprayer like that ? oh and i have santa ana in perth..cheers
I'm glad I'm not the only one dumping urea on couch haha!! Hey mate I'm going to go Rye overseed this winter here and will grab it from your shop, but Brenton at the Aussie lawn mentioned that you sourced him some Nutrafeed 23. Any danger you can get some of that as well and I'll buy both of them through you?
Feel like you should couch the entire property 😀🤘 Guess you get some good cool season potential days over that way though
Hey man!
Flick me an email, I should be able to get you some!
Haha, maybe one day. Plan to get a place out of town eventually and do a nice big couch fairway into a green 🤙🏼
Hi mate, what is the wiper sniper brand/model used ? Is it possible to add the rpc to bent shaft wiper sniper?
Wow, how did you survive taking the kitchen scissor!!??? My wife would freak..
Great vid!how often are you spraying that mix ? Or did I miss that. Thanks mate
What sort of wipper snipper head is that mate and where did you get it from?
Looks way better from the other vid
You should think about a whole different turf all together mate, you been doing the rye for a few years now. Why not try some zoysia?
When we getting update on the kik and then the Bermuda sod? Also Defiantly seed in some Kbg with the rye, get a real dark one too so it adds to the color
You've got some good lateral growth onto the footpath. Come-on mate. Tidy her up.
do you think you'll be back to greens height this year or will you leave it at something more manageable?
Nice Edger 😁
Hey mate, would u overseed kikuyi as we come into winter? If so what would u reccomend? I’ve never over seeded before or have you got a video that goes into this and what types of seed to overseed with? I’m in sw wa if that impacts what to use, cheers
I wouldn't as kikuyu is a summer grass and is dormant in winter.. all I do with my kikuyu is as soon as it getting good weather (near spring) is just mow the thing as low as my rotary mower goes which normally takes it back to dirt or close to and yeah just put some lawn grub killer on and some cheap $5 grainual lawn fertiliser from bunnings on it and in a month's time after that I use bit of weed n feed. After all that I normally just put on fertiliser every 3 months.. oh I like to give it one more fertiliser just as winter starts.. BUT thats my routine for kikuyu and all seems well considering I have rock hard clay soil..
Boom box classic bro
What brand spray nozzle was that? I bought one from the big B and it sprayed nothing like that, stuff pissing out everywhere!
can you cut perenial ryegrass that low as tiftuf, i got a bag of rpr mix that im going to use.
What blower is that? Any good? I'm looking for a new one.
What is the whipper snipper/ edger combo in the video please?
Which ray ban glasses are those?? 😍😍
What do you use for Pythium control?
Plug your murch more bro I had to look on a few videos to find the website!
Six Hundred and Sixty Sixth Like. Woo Hoo! Good vid & good channel, thanks Ben. Pity about the bloody fungus.
Thankgod Wednesday vids are back
What's the best mower between rover, victa, masport or honda?
Music on point in this vid hahah
Question Ben. Does Urear burn too??? ;D
hi buddy, it would be cool to activate the translation in french and other language as this would reach an even larger audience. for that you just have to validate the English translation and add other languages which will translate automatically ✌🏼
@@BrettSucks it is already automatically translated into English 🤔. Once the English translation is approved by the user he can automatically translate into several languages (10 maximum I think).
Do you guys mean transcribed? It's already in English you don't need to translate to english
Hey bud, any tips for dealing with fungus? I either have brown patch or dollar sport. SR4550 lawn in Auckland, NZ. We've had a pretty humid summer here, not really sure what fungicide to use, or what to do with watering, as its damn hot as well as humid. Cheers!
EDIT - literally posted this comment 20 seconds before you started talking about the fungus!
Do you know of the new Zealand lawn addicts on Facebook? Has products available as well
Seeing that quick interchange from landscape blade to edger. I'm sad, mainly because I don't know, if Ryobi has an edger and landscape blade?
Ryobi doesn't do the landscape edger but I did see on another channel that you can make it work on a ryobi combo system.
Think the channel was" the happy amateur "
Great video mate. I see pythium getting tracked a lot on lawns. Particularly on the high wear areas, around sheds gates, basically wherever people walk a lot. The spores live on the leave and are easily moved. Good luck with your lawn. If it doesn't cone back i would dig out some of the soil underneath the bare areas and replace with fresh sand before you re seed. But great vid again mate, i love how you are happy to shiw the good and the bad.
When you double cut, do you go lower on the second cut? Also, damn the neighbors lawn is starting to run wild.
Predicting the future, but great vid 👍
Poor ryegrass, have you thought about trying some creeping rye varieties instead of KBG?
Any chance we could get a video on stopping couch grass from growing in the cracks in the concrete? Maybe you need to fill the cracks with silicon or something?
Try using strong weed killer on them areas and use either a spray bottle or use eye drop or a pipette dropper to hit it directly so u don't get any over spray on to the good grass or other flowers and trees near by..
thats loud bruh. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Almost one year, countless numbers of man hours, $1000.00 of fertilizer and you almost have a green , well done
Defs not that much money 😂
Guessing you don’t understand why it looks like this which is fair enough.
The overseed in winter did it not good. The bent and rye suppressed the TifTuf too much because I didn’t spray it out early enough 👍🏽
P.s. I enjoy the process, nothing wrong with having fun with the lawn
Go the Kentucky blue mate.
Link to T head for the sprayer
Welcome back to Wednesday’s bru
Please do a KBG Reno.
How’s the kik across the road going?
not too bad man! Unfortunately I just haven't had the time to keep shooting vids on it. I think it's going to be a next year project.
I love your videos, but I've been watching you try to clear up those patches on the green for like a year now.... I'll check back in '2-3 weeks', if its not filled in by then, you're tearing it up and replanting.
Try and score yourself some gear by EGO. Line trimmer, edger, blower combo
Asked my local nursery how much creep is too much when I’m trying to plug and now I’m not welcome back.
Yoo we out here in Florida
Lechter 04 red.
I bet you used her fabric scissors:-)
