It will be hard to top that show because Eddie retired young after winning and Brian is starting to come of his prime now in 2020 plus they are taking away the heaviness of the competition to make it more about speed for some reason. 2017 was the best WSM ever in my opinion

Eddie way faster. But him being smaller and using a lot of energy to do it fast made him take longer. (Even though he still a giant beast). But compared to Brian (in height to give more leverage to get it up)

Eddie and Brian are buddies, but Eddie definitely has some issues with Thor after the comments he made following the 2017 competition. It was a strange event as Thor didn't shake Eddie's hand on the podium, and I've seen video of Bill Kazmaier congratulating Eddie on joining the fraternity of Worlds Strongest Man and Eddie seeming a bit despondent as he says..."No one else has said well done yet"

    • @J.c410

Haftor did shake his hand and was right to be mad since Colin Bryce (head organizer) changed some events on the very day of the contest to favor Eddie lmao. That whole viking press shit and Thor not shaking hand at the end are smokes screen of the documentary made by "official strongman". And guess who owns official strongman ? Eddie, his brother and Colin Bryce lmao

But as J C doesn't say is that Eddie only became a director of the company in 2018, not during WSM 2017.
