I did the opposite. I lived in São Miguel my first 21 years and have been in USA for almost 30 years. I miss the Azores basically everyday. Azores is part of my being forever. And this is one of the reasons I enjoy watching your videos. It takes me home 😍
Oh myyy heart. How I love the beauty and simple way of life. What could possibly be better? There is so much peace and joy to be living in São Miguel, or any island. Maybe not for everyone, ...but for me. I count the days. Thank you Rosa for beautiful video. Bjinhos querida
Hi Rosie just came back from there I had an amazing time such beautiful scenery i understand your saying about having lived part of your young life here even dough Canada is now expensive to live it’s still better then there part of you will always be here but living there is very nice too too bad the salaries are not higher there is a lot of tourism but it’s making harder for the locals food in some restaurants is more then double from 2018 when I left I asked for you but they said you were off keep up the great work you do ❤
@@zeliaraposo608 oh I'm sorry we couldn't meet! When did you leave? That is true. Part of my heart will always be in Canada. I miss it dearly 😢 I appreciate all of your support 🥰
@@terimachado168 hi! The adjustment was horrible! School was depressing. The school system here isn't the same as it was in Canada. For obvious reasons, every population has different needs. But also the language was a big barrier for me when it came to learning. Even though I spoke the basics for Portuguese (and barely that) I didn't know many words. And I didn't know how to spell many of the words I heard or said. But school did help me develop my Portuguese. And I don't speak 100% correct still, but if it weren't for school I probably would be worse. As for adjustment. It was so hard. São Miguel Island is such a small place. And in 2012 things weren't as developed and advanced. So I felt like all my hopes and dreams were taken away. Everything I was used to changed. Lifestyle is so different here. And I didn't like it. I missed all the big milestones my friends were going through without me. Like graduation and prom. Big school trips. So it was really bitter sweet for me... Let's just say it wasn't easy.
Beautiful, great job! Have a wonderful day!😊
Thank you 🥰 you too

Hi Rosie! I really enjoy your videos. When you returned to SM did you find school difficult and how did you adjust?
