If they wanted to remind us that Christ preached from a boat then the pulpit could have been shaped in the form of a boat. The altar should be shaped like an altar because that's where the Sacrifice is offered.
This church is in Jerusalem, you don't need too much because you are in the Holy Land. You ARE THERE where Our Master Walked!!! The God Almighty!!! The King of Kings the Lord of Lord's!!!
She the first witnessed resurrection, without which there will be no Christianity. If resurrection is impossible, to believe is to believe the impossible. Shestov: 2x2=4 is the principle of death.
This is outrageous. A fishing boat as an altar to worship our Lord? No. Where is the Crucifix? Where are the Stations of The Cross? Where is the Tabernacle? This is not a church.
Jacqueline Harrod 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; We need also not to call any man here on earth our father, which is what the Catholic religion is BASED ON (using a MAN as our mediator to God) Mathew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
@@skuka912 Would you agree that St. Stephen and St. Paul understood the teachings of Jesus ? If Matthew 23:9 is showing us that we cannot use the word "father" to refer to people on earth, can you explain why St. Stephen uses the title "father" when speaking to his fellow Jews in his speech before his martyrdom in Acts 7:2 "Brothers and FATHERS, listen to me. (emphasis added) and St. Paul referring to himself as a spiritual father in Philemon 10, “I am appealing to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become during my imprisonment." Even Jesus himself, in Luke 17:30, speaking of Abraham as "father" in his parable of the Rich man and Lazarus: 'No, FATHER Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' It would seem they are all violating Matthew 23, if we hold to this modern understanding. I use term "modern" because all the ancient churches refer to their priests as Fathers, not just Catholics. Look at the Orthodox churches. It's only the generations after the Reformation that we begin to see this line of argumentation. For 15 centuries of Christian history, Matthew 23:9 was never interpreted as a strict prohibition.
Beautiful place. Am longing to visit as Mary Magdalene is my favourite saint.
Very nice,glory to jesus
🙏🙏🙏
Ok... That altar is ridiculous. That is supposed to remind us of the early church how? It is not anything the early church would have worshipped with.
She works miracles. Believe me
Amen .
Beautiful
Beautiful boat
Nice

I want an altar shaped as a donkey because... well Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey

There is one Intermediator between man and God, Christ Jesus. To create alters dedicated to Mary is idolatry
A dopey comment, and totally untrue.
AMEN Christopher. The Bible says this
