It’s so bizarre seeing some of these games exclusive to Brazil. Ren & Stimpy, X-Men Mojo World, and Little Mermaid (to name a few) all seem like games that should’ve easily released in the US given the properties. Mortal Kombat 3 looks HORRENDOUS lol! I am really shocked that those games are EXCLUSIVE to Brazil because there are many amazing titles in there where I don't understand why they went through all the troubles releasing those games only in Brazil and other territories get nothing. Makes me wonder how big Ren and Stimpy was in Brazil. Same goes for all those other super popular franchises.

Tiger Chainsaw, the Master of Master System Content 😀 I forget that Ren & Stimpy were that old. I used to play Fire & Ice in MSDOS. Now I'm curious which platform came first. I didn't realize Ecco had a sequel. Crazy! I've never been a big fan of soccer video games, but it is undoubtedly a juggernaut of a franchise! Mortal Kombat 3, whoa! I had no idea this version existed! Such a fun little factoid! Whoa, I also had no idea Earthworm Jim got released on the SMS! I loved Jim 1 & 2 (I even kinda liked 3, but hated the controls). The Bonkers game actually looks really solid. Mickey's Legend of Illusion looks downright awesome! I loved Castle of Illusion. Very cool episode! Hope it goes gang-busters!
Lol, TH-cam certainly pushes my SMS content more than anything else that I do! I've never really watched much of the Ren and Stimpy cartoon. That is really cool you have experience with Fire and Ice, I'm curious to hear the version differences. Ecco has quite a few sequels!! I have the fourth sequel on the PS2. I'm not much for soccer games, but I do know most say FIFA is great. Mortal Kombat 3 is sooooooo bad on the SMS I laughed when seeing the gameplay. Earthworm Jim is another fun one, I wish we would have gotten it over here. Bonkers was actually a cartoon that I remember watching a few times as a kid. The Legend of Illusion looks like it is maybe the best game from the bunch, it looks wonderful. Thanks for watching buddy!
5:55 I have a very funny story with this game, I never got to play it on the console, but on a DVD player that came with 2 joysticks and a CD ROM full of Nintendo and Sega games. This CD ROM had some games that appear in this video but I remember that this was my favorite, I don't really know why, but I think the atmosphere of it enchants me. What a good video, it warmed my heart. Oh, and I'm sorry if the translation is wrong, I'm using Google for this, lmao.
Thank you for such kind words. It was very nice to read them and to hear some memories from you. I've had many kind people from Brazil reach out and tell me what a great video this is. I appreciate it! Happy gaming my friend.
I'm not sure how high the quality is for that little mermaid game but you should give it a shot! The bonkers game looks too tough for you and I can see you quitting. Thanks for watching!
Nice list! I always enjoy seeing games that we never got on any system over here! I'm still amazed to see Fighting games running on the SMS! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy! Some of the fighting games like Virtua Fighter Animation look pretty good and I love the cutscenes they added to it. I wish a few of them came to North America. Thanks for watching and supporting, I always appreciate it.
Still hacks, they were not given the source code to any of these games regardless of being under license from SEGA. People are producing Game Gear to SMS hacks today with the same mixed results.@@melostudiox
It was really nice whatch this! If you want to make a part 2 of this, there are a lot more of Master System games made for Brazilian market by tectoy, like "Mônica no Castelo do Dragão", "Chapolim x Drácula" etc. But the best for me are the games about "Sapo Chulé". Even in Brasil these cartridges are very expensive nowadays, over 150 dollars.
Thanks for the kind words! It was a lot of fun to put this together and learn more about the games that Brazil got. I had no idea there were others! It sounds like some of them are very pricey. Thanks for watching, always fun meeting more Master System fans.
That one I was very impressed with!! I really like the cutscenes and the fighting doesn't look too slow. That's really cool that you have it. Thanks for watching!
I had this video recommended to me today, great video mate A fun story with Tectoy, I'm an early 2000s kid, so it's probably not expected that I played classic videogames, but I played a lot on a recently released (at the time) Master System version at my neighbour house (also a 2000s kid) Tectoy stuff was still very popular and accessible for us poor kids till some time ago I was introduced to a lot of great stuff on this console, great memories
Thank you for watching my friend! I'm happy to hear people are recommending it. Loved reading your story and insight into TecToy. It's great that they created an affordable way for kids to play video games. Some of their games I'm very jealous of! They look great and I wish I could have played them in the United States. Thanks again for watching and happy gaming!

This was a super nice comment. I really appreciate it my guy, it's good to hear positive things. I was surprised at how many of them I thought would actually be fun. MK3 though.... MAN THAT WAS HOT GARBAGE LOL. There were a few though that looked decent. Thanks for watching and leaving a dope comment.
Still watching the video tho, but when he was talking about the success of Master System in Brazil it reminded me of the success of PlayStation 2 here as well. I have seen a lot of people that are still playing tons of PS2 games until this day, in fact, a lot of them are modded games tho.
The Master System was so hugely popular here. Because Mega Drive was very expensive at early 1990, and by the time it was more affordable there were Super Nintendos all over the place. Master System was its own exclusive thing here. Like NES for you guys in America. I am one of the many brazilians that had a Master System, and I loved it. But after jumped straight to Super Nintendo 😅 Only a few mega drive/genesis games I've met when I was a kid. And Master System continued being popular among my friends. With many new editions and games being released. It's crazy! Subscribed to your channel! Greetings from Brazil!
Vlw!

Fun fact: TecToy showed footage the Street Fighter 2 sms port to Sega of America not telling them in what console it was being played, they said the port was terrible. But they said it's being played on a master system and sega was like "Really? I must admit, on the Master System, this could've been worse" and was immediately approved

Tec Toy later launched 3 games featuring the xulé frog, which is a mascot they created, but all 3 are modifications of other games. One was for platforms, the other was for ships, and one was for kung fu, I'm Brazilian and I have an emulator with some tec toy games, my favorite is Monica's gang against the monsters, which is also a mega drive.
Wow! That is very cool, thank you for sharing about the other games. Tec Toy did a lot of cool stuff in Brazil for the Master System. Always great to hear from other Master System fans. Thanks for watching and happy gaming!
Fire and Ice was originally developed for The Amiga and Atari ST computers and I believe ported over to several other platforms including Master System
I... actually have none of these games on my collection, nor a collection at all, besides still having my good and ol ps2, and something around 100 of games for it (all got through the Jack Sparrow ways if y'know what I mean), but only that for a console, as well as an almost 9 y/o laptop which I had to change the RAM stick a few weeks ago because the old one got burnt alongside one of the motherboard's slot (it now works fine at least, + now I have 8GB of RAM and am still not used to yet)
Hey, the PS2 is an excellent console! I actually have the most games in my collection for it. There are so many wonderful games for it, awesome to hear you have around 100 for it. Thank you friend! I've made a lot of friends from Brazil with this video. It's nice to see everyone support it and hear their thoughts on TecToy and the Master System. Thanks for watching!
Tec-Toy also modded some games to change their franchise and sell better in Brazil. Like the wonder boy games having some sprites and text changed to turn them into Monica's gang games.
That is fascinating! I love learning fun facts like that. I don't know a whole ton about Brazilian games so it's nice to hear it from those who had them. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Just a suggestion. Take it or leave it but personally I would prefer to hear about these games and also hear your opinion on them too, good, bad, indifferent etc. Would be interested to know in your opinion if you feel game A/B/C is worthwhile picking up etc. This is in no way meant as a slight re' your videos as I personally enjoy them along and am familiar with many of these games however I am always oddly keen to listen to other people's thoughts on games
This is one of the nicest comments I've received! I really appreciate the fact that you want to hear more from my personal input on these games. I think the two biggest videos where I share the most personal reflection on the Master System games would be my Top 10 Must Own Master System Games, and my Sega Master System Collection video where I showcase the games that I have and share some memories/thoughts on them. I'd love to share more personal input but I haven't played these ones. I love researching the games, but many of them are still in my backlog and I haven't personal experienced them yet. I will keep that in mind moving forward, and sharing my opinions on games during my countdowns. Thanks for watching, and thank you for leaving a great comment!
Yes they were! It's pretty incredible that TecToy got the rights to these characters but they did a great job bringing these games to Brazil. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
I had no idea dynamite headdy had a master system version. I'm impressed by the graphics on these 8 bit games. They're worse than Genesis but better than nes.
I didn't know Dynamite Headdy received a SMS port either until making this video. It's fun to see what other regions received. I agree, some of the graphics on the SMS look wonderful. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment.
Interesting video! I'll check the others too, do you sometimes capture game footage yourself or mostly use from other channels such as World of Longplays? Thanks! Edit: OK, I get it, you don't actually play or get to know the games and tell your own impressions but rather read texts from reviews and articles about them. I don't mean to sound negative, though. I just wasn't expecting this, that's a first.
I don't have the capabilities to capture the footage myself so I like to use gameplay channels like World of Longplays and 10min Gameplay. I always make sure to give whatever channel I use credit in my video. Most of my videos are informal so yes, I use reviews from magazines or words from manuals. I do have videos where I state my own opinion, I recommend my video of 10 Must Own Master System Games where I share my thoughts and passion on a select few Master System Games. Thanks for watching!
Most, if not 99% of those channels record the games using OBS and emulators, Retroarch, for instance can record games without the need for third party programs. In any case I'll check other videos later.

Most of these games are ports of the Game Gear games. Some of them, I believe, were originally intended to be released in Europe but canceled for one reason or another.
The Game Gear did get several ports of some of these. I would have loved to see some of these games get released in North America on the Master System as that is the console I had. Thanks for watching and happy gaming!
@TigerChainsawVideoGames North America kind of got the shaft regarding the Master System since the NES dominated the market. It was much more popular in Europe, as I believe you mentioned. Thus, some of these games could have been released there. Like I said, I think a few were even originally intended to have European releases.
You can say Master Systrem "crushed" the Nes, if you don't count the informal market. because actual Nintendo products werent licensed at the time, so it was all those nintendo-clones, but it was a huge market, with many a bootleg carts. I never owned an actual Master System, and I only knew 2 person that did, but bootleg nintendos were everywhere. That said, interesting to note, like in that Sonic and Street Fighter mentioned cases, lots of these games were ported down from Sega Genesis/Mega Drive or Game Gear.
I never knew too much about the bootleg Nintendos. That would be something to see! That's very true, a lot of these were ports from the Game Gear but I'm still jealous that Brazil received them. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!

That's awesome, I'm happy you have the Brazilian MS exclusives. I haven't heard of a few that you mentioned. Always fun to meet more SMS fans, thanks for watching!
Tiger Chainsaw, the Master of Master System Content 😀
I forget that Ren & Stimpy were that old.
Ecco actually have even a 3D game for the Dreamcast... which's famous for not being that good
@@ToniaGlitched time for an Ecco reboot. I'm thinking Unreal Engine Game + Christmas Blockbuster Film. Any investors out there? 😀
*great video sir! The truth is these games are the Game Gear copies so they did come out!* 💡
Thanks buddy for watching, I always appreciate the comments!
I think the little mermaid game would be fun and maybe the bonkers game. A lot of the others they can keep in Brazil 😂 good video!
You did get them, they are all bad hacks of Game Gear games that quite often came with bugs or incorrect palette or run a bit slower.
Thanks buddy! Some of the fighting games like Virtua Fighter Animation look pretty good and I love the cutscenes they added to it. I wish a few of them came to North America. Thanks for watching and supporting, I always appreciate it.
Haha. Hacks as if the games are licensed. These are official ports. Do not underestimate the strength that the master system had in Brazil
Virtua Fighter Animation was nice! I still have it for the GG.
That one I was very impressed with!! I really like the cutscenes and the fighting doesn't look too slow. That's really cool that you have it. Thanks for watching!
I had this video recommended to me today, great video mate
A fun story with Tectoy, I'm an early 2000s kid, so it's probably not expected that I played classic videogames, but I played a lot on a recently released (at the time) Master System version at my neighbour house (also a 2000s kid)
Tectoy stuff was still very popular and accessible for us poor kids till some time ago
I was introduced to a lot of great stuff on this console, great memories
Thank you for watching my friend! I'm happy to hear people are recommending it. Loved reading your story and insight into TecToy. It's great that they created an affordable way for kids to play video games. Some of their games I'm very jealous of! They look great and I wish I could have played them in the United States. Thanks again for watching and happy gaming!
Back in the 90's I had Mortal Kombat 1, 2, 3, Street Fighter 2 and Fifa Soccer all physical. Sold everything to buy a Dreamcast... :(
Wow!! That would be incredible to hold onto. I understand though, people sell games to get new ones. I still have my original collection but I hope those games make their way back into your possession. Thank you for watching!
I have a handful of Brazilian games.
It's always great to see games that we didn't get stateside.
You did get them, they are all bad hacks of Game Gear games that quite often came with bugs or incorrect palette or run a bit slower.
Too true but having them on the Master System would have been better.
That is so cool you actually have a few of these games! I'm quite jealous. Any of them good?
Battletoads is okay.

Still watching the video tho, but when he was talking about the success of Master System in Brazil it reminded me of the success of PlayStation 2 here as well. I have seen a lot of people that are still playing tons of PS2 games until this day, in fact, a lot of them are modded games tho.
The PS2 is another console that I hold dearly to my heart. So many great memories with it. Thanks for watching my friend!
Muito legal relembrar estes clássicos.❤ Parabéns pelo vídeo!
Estou com ciúmes que você teve esses clássicos. Obrigado por assistir ao vídeo. Foi ótimo conhecer tantos fãs do Master System do Brasil. Feliz jogo!

@@TigerChainsawVideoGames ha. These really are very rare so I only have a few. Great video buddy.

Superb stuff mate
Thank you for watching and thanks for the kind comment! Happy Gaming, and long live the Sega Master System.
Mortal Kombat games for Master System were ported from Game Gear. Majority of downgraded ports of 16-bit games are right from Game Gear.
Yeah those Mortal Kombat games are a bit rough haha!
Falou bonito, ótimo vídeo que você fez.

Mickeys ultimate challenge was straight ass on the SNES. God I hate that game. I didn't know it came to the SMS.
