Great timing with this video! I am starting a new job next week and getting a 35% pay increase - life changing for me. I’m really excited to be able to save/invest almost half my income. I am hoping to intentionally increase my budget by a reasonable amount because I’ve been living on a shoestring for the past couple of years while I paid off debt. I just got an unexpected raise, it wasn’t huge, but more money is more money! I had already decided any money over my base hours will go straight to savings. That initial dollar amount hasn’t changed, I put the raise money into savings as well. Part of the base amount is going to savings too. I’m rounding up all purchases and putting that money into savings too.
