It's been two months I guess you're not really interested ? Too bad, I've found amazing things there from worlds fair souvenir pottery to busted statues, to really cool bottles.
@@titotijuana It's in a certain part of the "John F. Kennedy" forest in Forest Park in St. Louis, Mo. In walking distance from the St Louis Art Museum and the St Louis, Zoo. In the past the St Louis Mounted Police have NOT hassled me for looking for artifacts there. Believe me, I've been approached by them a bajillion times.
The only thing that makes us recoil in horror here in the U.K. Is when people highlight the embossing in white or black!!!! Aaaaaagh!! They were never made like that so why would anyone do it? It makes the bottles look childish/ amateurish.... sorry it needs to be said.
Paint can always be removed, so no harm really done. This was a big thing in the late 60s and early 1970s to paint the embossing so the lettering could be seen better from a distance. I think the "Collecting Bottles" book by Cecil Munsey (1970) helped make the practice more popular, at least here in the US.
