      Joe Budden It only temporarily loosens your curls, but if you want your “new growth” to match the henna treated hair you’ll just have to keep doing the henna treatments.

    Yes, it changed my curl pattern, so much that I decided to buzz all my hair off!! Amla will definitely help bring your curls back. I get my mine from Henna Sooq. I use their Red Raj henna one day and follow the next day with an amla mask. I don't like to mix the amla with my henna because I want the full dye effect of the henna for my greys and amla will tone down the color.

    Thank you! This was so needed! Nupur henna completely changed my curl pattern. At first, I was happy because it was taking me less time to do my hair. Then, it became too much of a good thing and I have two different textures on my head. I have committed to no henna for 6 months but I’m almost at the end of that period. It’s so good to have some ideas on what to do next. I will try henna gloss and maybe even switch to H&C when my bag of Nupur is done.

    I used herbs for the first time a week ago, amla. I had little pieces of heat damage and those turned into curls !!! I have been transitioning the heat damage pieces since last year October. I did everything to get my curls back, nothing worked, I started cutting the rest off beginning of the year and now you can’t see it at all !!! I’m so happy with amla and I will be using it every month, I’m also going to start doing hot oil treatments again and I’m going to start using fenugreek, brahmi and again aloe Vera.

    My daughters curls started to loosen up significantly. So I stopped giving her straight henna treatments. Now that you mentioned it I was using Nupur at the time. I since use hennasooqs hennas and herbs on myself and a gloss on her. I also add amla and aloe powder. Heaping teaspoon is sufficient of each for me. Because I’m dying my grays. I remember hennasooq mentioned amla as well if you don’t want your curl pattern loosened. Thank you. Very helpful.

    I’ve been using henna since February 2018 (from Ancient Sunrise) because I needed a non chemical alternative way of dyeing my hair. I have noticed the loosening effect so I went back to adding alma to my mix and using henna less often. I’m still working on tightening my curls back up, I’ve made some progress. I didn’t know about coconut milk loosening curls so that was a great tip and I definitely avoid ever adding it. Thank you! I love your videos and the tone of your voice.

    Curl, shine and growth on point. My curls are beautiful. Hair type don't know. Scalp looks like 3b, ends 3c. Wet 4a, until partial dry then 3b. Also, depends on products. Shea Moisture 4a. Mielle organics 3b or 3C. Henna is the best thing ever for my hair. May differ from person to person.

    A generous amount of hair Oil should be applied to hair after a henna treatment to get rid of the dryness caused by henna (dryness can change the hair texture).
    I personally rinse out the henna with only plain water and day after I apply oil to my hair. I keep the oil in over night and wash my hair with shampoo day after and I of course condition as well.
    This makes my hair look a lot healthier and shinier. 💗

    How can you loosen your curl pattern without getting the colour effect of henna? I initially wanted to use Amla with henna

    • @VyalaBloom
      @VyalaBloom  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try cassia if you don’t want any color difference. Otherwise I like adding brahmi (bacopa monneri or centrally asiatica) for darkening. Amla is also good for darkening but it can also prevent your curls from loosening.

    Will hibiscus change my color? I want to keep it copper. I'm a redhead who is refreshing my natural color with henna. But I want my hair curlier! I have a mix of straight, waves and ringlets. It's a hot mess!

    I love your hair. I used henna Nupur last week myself and it did wonders to my hair however I do not like the colour can I go to my hairdresser to get colour/ highlights or do I have to wait?😊😍

    • @VyalaBloom
      @VyalaBloom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can go to your hairdresser! Just make sure to let them know you used henna and be aware that most hairdressers are not familiar with it. If you or they are worried (not sure how the color will take or whatnot) ask to do a test strand. But you should be fine 😊

  • @lapetite6637

    I've read and heard that using amla helps with curl pattern too. I sometimes mix it with the henna but not too much otherwise you won't have the rich red tone you normally get with henna. You can also use it solo and leave on for 30 minutes and rinse out.
    As far as using apple cider vinegar...that's another thing that I personally wouldn't recommend. As I mentioned before I have fine, thin hair and using apple cider vinegar on my hair made it break. 😲😭 If you have the type of hair that can take use of various products without damage, go for it, otherwise I would stay far away from ACV.

    • @Nashleyism
      @Nashleyism 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or you can try different acv and water ratio. I've seen people recommending using 1:1 and for many people that will be waaaay too much. The pH must be so low.
      I tried to use 1 tablespoon for 700 ml (around 3 cups) of water and it was still too much. My scalp was itchy and I had more hair loss than normaly. For me 1/2 of a teaspoon for 2 cups of tap water is good

    nupur ruined my 3c/4a definition when i used it straight instead of a conditioner gloss. my curls are flattened out in a way that they don't loop and therefore don't clump. in a gloss, it's fine, no curl change. i will NEVER use nupur straight again, even with an aloe juice mix. NUPUR IS FOR GLOSSES ONLY, SISTERS

    • @9melissal

      Henna only dyes hair red, it didn't chime in different colors. If it's a black dye it has other stuff mixed in which you should be careful of.
