Love the bangs. Thank you for a great workout. My balance has been improving. I have more pain with lunges than squats for some reason. After I did this workout I did your knee pain one I enjoy doing 3-5 times a week. You have also given me the encouragement to incorporate weights.
I look forward to doing this workout and enjoy when my balanced is challenged! I would add ankle weights for more challenge and I substitute curtsy lunges with side lunges because my knees don't like the angle that it positions the knees and I can feel my glutes engage more. Thank you for thoughtful and effective workouts Lauren!❤

Wow!! So great and so challenging. I had to stop the video a few times to catch my breath. i was sweating a lot which was great. I used my 10 lb. weights but as I mentioned had to take a few breaks. I loved this workout. I also like the chair stretches because I can do them standing but know a lot of people that can't so I can suggest this alternative for them.

I am going to try this workout again in a few days. I was getting muscle cramps in my torso and legs, my left knee was uncooperative and my lower back (although I think it was both hips) was screaming. I haven't had these issues in several years but it has been raining here at the Jersey shore for several days. It really seemed like a great workout!

This was an absolutely fabulous workout, Lauren. I really felt it. I used a set of 8lb weights, without much difficulty. I didn't need the chair. I try to practice balancing exercises when I brush my teeth at night. Thanks for this wonderful workout. Please do more like this!💖💖🫶
@SeniorShapeFitness Thanks, Lauren. I don't ever want to wind up like my mom. She had early onset Alzheimer's at around 60, and was constantly falling. Luckily, she never broke anything. I was always pretty limber, and can still touch my foot to my head. Such a great talent, LOL. 😅 Even with fibro, I know that I have to keep my muscles moving. ❤❤

This is TERRIFIC! I did it ALL with eight pound weights (although my lunges weren't very deep 😂). So proud I could stand on my toes-- a PT achievement! Adding this to my rotation, for sure!

Thanks Beth! to modify lunges, just step out or side or whatever direction the lunge it (like the heel press we did in this warm up). Also check out my "knee friendly" playlist. There are several workouts you will find that don't include any squats or lunges :)

Well then, that’s a workout. I feel like I got a good isometric arm workout holding the weights as well. Also have to mention that at the beginning of this year I mainly only used 3 lb. weights; gradually transitioned to 5 lb., and now I’m using 8 lbs. for a lot of the workouts! I’m going to celebrate my 69th birthday in two weeks and feel stronger than ever!
