@@SuperShuki Their scores are way low for the distance to be 30m. Byron Ferguson could shoot all 9's and 10's at 30 meters, and while he is an incredible trick shot and distance shot, he does not compete in tournaments as far as I know. Do a search here on TH-cam for Bryon Ferguson Archery and watch some of his videos. He puts these guys to shame.
I don't know how in Iceland, but in Russia we call a bow of this shape "northern" ... Judging by the appearance, the archer has a replica = imitation of a "historical" bow. It should be noted that the shooting is conducted with a "ring" grip of the bowstring, which is prohibited by WA rules at international competitions, but allowed at national.
@@DK_1983 Dont think so, but this is more because it is meant more as a traditional archery rather than actually longbow. Besides having a horse bow against longbow doesnt actually give any advantage, the skill required and accuracy is still the same. Unlike barebow, as that one has higher speed and better accuracy.
I am fairly certain if they are using World Archery distances it should be 50 meters. In reality It could be any metric distance but I would be surprised if it wasn't 50 meters. I'm a Level 2 Archery Judge (brand new USA Archery) and I have the World Archery rule book.
The mini car with the arrow is super cool
At what distance do they shoot?
I want to know this too... 30 meters? 50 meters?
Ok, I found out by looking it up at the link above - 30 meters

It is not a longbow, it is actually a homemade horse bow, I was still allowed to compete with it none the less.

@@MatejCieslar Hi Matej. Impressive technique ! Do you actually shoot better with the thumb or did you do it for the extra challenge ?
@@ramonpaellah6233 Those kinds of bows are shot with a thumb release. Look up 'horsebows'.
Target looks like 122 cm , then maybe 50 m
Metej uses the technique to riding on a horse and shoot.
Какая там дистанция , что они не попадают совсем ?
What is the distance there that they don't hit at all?

Could be 30 meters on second viewing though.
shelved longbow and missing yellow?
Why is the reporter breathing so loud? What is he doing? 🫣
