I think too many people are reading into that the wrong way. Joe certainly has musical ability, but he is definitely a guitarist more than he is a singer. He gets along well enough, but his voice tends to waver and break slightly when he sings live, even when he was with Tally Hall.

Great performance. I don't think there's any reason to assume he was on the verge of tears, only that he seemed like he had some warming up to do throughout the set. Maybe he was still adjusting to it being a solo show, for whatever reason it was that Rob couldn't make it. But one thing's for sure; he absolutely _nailed_ the second half of this. The "Jump" cover was such a great closer that he performed so well, and it had to have been such a cool surprise to any fans there. If this is the last Tally Hall related live performance, it was a great send-off.
you can't really tell a person's emotions just by watching a video unlike what many commenters here would believe. can't say he was really sad or happy performing this but what i do know is i'm sad watching him perform alone
