I think this song represents a lot of people's lives. In the beginning of the song, it sounded happy. And that happiness coursed throughout the entire track, but there were more than hints of being frightened, being confused. "We all suffer, but we recover, just to discover life where we all are," meant that everyone has their own doubts and fears, but we keep it to ourselves. It takes sharing to get better. I believe the overall tone of this one said, "It might not be okay right now, but it will be. I will." Bless this man.
This song is all about suffering and how God refines us through trials and hardship. How we need to view those times as "Beautiful Times" because they are truly the times we grow the most. Love it, Adam!

While i may not share the guy's religious belief i still can latch onto the emotion in the songs that reference his belief and apply it to something personal. He's even said himself that he wanted to branch out to work with other artist and see how they wrote their music. But we don't know Adam personally and so he may think differently than what you say. We can never be sure though. As long as he keeps making music is what really matters, not which direction or genre he goes with.

Dear Lindsey, when you didn't make the cut for America's Got Talent, it was a blessing in disguise. It's about love, about childhood, and about friendship, and instead of looking down, it makes you feel joy and lifts up your spirits. I will always love owl city's music and will always listen to it when I'm feeling down.
