In case it is helpful, here are all my Control Theory videos in a single playlist th-cam.com/play/PLxdnSsBqCrrF9KOQRB9ByfB0EUMwnLO9o.html. Please let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching!

AE511: This makes sense, thanks for the intro to state space => transfer function conversion!

    Hello Christopher,
first of all thanks for the great input you are offering us on TH-cam. Nevertheless, I think I have spotted a mistake on the B matrix at 17:15. According to my notes of your previous lectures and the follow up mathematica calculation the B(1,2) entry should be 0 instead of one.
    Cheers Malte

I've been exposed to state space and transfer functions multiple times over the years and it always takes me a while to grasp. But it's starting to click. The SS to TF transformations helps make the connection between the two.

AE511: I had no idea that matlab possessed such specific functions to help with transfer function analysis (tfdata, tf2zpk). AE512 helped to solidify my understanding of state space analysis, I'm looking forward to this course helping me reach the same level with regards to analysis in the frequency domain - hopefully by fully utilizing these software tools.

I really appreciated the walk through of the matlab functions and some tricks to work around the limitations with ss2tf

    Great video!
I really would like to watch the mentioned video about the derivation of the DC motor model, too, but sadly I can't find it. Was it removed from youtube?

    Hello Mr. Christopher Lum,
Can you make some videos about how to handle the analysis and the discrete design of the controller using the state space approach (designing the controller in the discrete state space approach)?
(…and more aspects related to the analysis and design in the discrete domain in the state space, but also the analysis with discrete-time transfer functions?)
    Thanks.

Hey Christopher , can you cover a lecture about 2R robot manipulator driven by dc motors ? You know, dealing with all the badly nonlinear equations (after making linearization) ,even with the actuators' transfer functions, would broadened our horizon pretty much.

Thank you Mr. Lum. You are PERFECTO! This is really informative.
    I have a question:
Is it possible to represent a (2 inputs 4 outputs state space) closed loop system as a Matlab code without using Simulink?

Hello, thank you for the video. I have a question. For the transfer function matrix, if G(1,1) = y(1)/u(1), G(1,2)=y(1)/u(2)... Then multiplying the first row of G with the u vector gives m*y(1) instead of y(1). Same idea for the remaining rows. Hence I was wondering whether the entries in the G matrix actually represent those individual transfer functions...

I could kiss you right now. Thanks a lot for this 🤩🤩.
One question: how would a PID controller affect the system?, Could you make a video where you added a controller and get the state space and transfer function
