All four guitarist are really good in their own way. Guthrie is in a class of his own. This is a wonderful cover of the Hendrix classic. Thanks for posting
I hear SRV influences 🙂
Guthrie’s solo is the apex of guitar solo on this song. It can’t get any better than this. This is the absolute peak. The height of a guitar solo on little wing
Was unreal!!
Just something about A Fender being played through Vox amplifiers that is Magical …. ☺️
My 69 year old jaw dropped on Guthrie's solo....I know he's great, but that solo was unworldly...not that the other players aren't pretty damn good in their own right...but Guthrie...Holy Shit!
I don’t know, I thought that Jimi Hendrix dude did alright with it…
1000 smiles for Mr.Trapp
I found Guthrie a few weeks ago and can't stop listening to his stuff. What a brilliant musician!
I'm going on a decade or so! He's the best
Not ashamed to say - literally got goosebumps from Guthrie's solo.
Same! Got to experience it in person
@@SteveSterlacci This is a top notch superior band but Trapp is one of the greatest players ever and the way he supercharges the emotion of this song is eagerly recognised by the musicians in shot during his solo. 2 cents.
At least the hundredth live Little Wing I've heard or seen and Guthrie brought tears to my eyes. So flipping soulful. Jimi would've dug it! 🙏
I agree. Was amazing to see in person
@@SteveSterlacci can only imagine. I love his channel and he seems like a great guy.
07:26 God I love Guthrie...... such beautiful melodic playing! Almost bringing the tears to my eyes 😅
Guthrie is from another planet. One where guitar is the only language. Thanks for sharing. So amazing.
Guthrie killing it as usual. The way he brought that turnaround home every time. It's so kind of him to hang out with the kids.
As an absolute AC30 nerd in the extreme this does my heart SO wonderfully well.
Guthrie never loses sight of the original.... also like the way they give a nod to the Dominoes version.
guthrie is just insane
He's on some other level for sure
Holly shit he completely stole the show !!!!
He’s not human.
Was not even good befor he stepped in....
Hats off to all these players here for doing their thing. GT is a true master and humble as all hell.
I love how Guthrie goes off. But keeps elements of the hendrix version throughout. Like it’s peppered in there.
Gah LEE Guthrie, dude I hope you have this song on the Advanced Course for ArtistWorks. You tore this baby every which way but loose. Positive Jimi would give you a standing ovation. Congratulations and thanks for the spiritual connection, absolutely uplifting. Thank you and thanks to the band for a great job everyone. 👏👏👏👍🙏🙏🙏🎸✌️🇺🇸😎
All on stage brought something to the table.
Fantastic stuff!
Gutherie just blows me away, he's so good you almost forget how good some of the others up there with him are, great version thank you all !
Guthrie, you tore that up! So good.
Guthrie, what a legend!!! We need you to tour Australia!!
🤘🤘🤘
Baddasses. Dam brothers and sister that was the best of the best i have heard from anyone!!!!!!!! Great that the musicianship with you all can soar and share the whole song together. Again brothers and sister fabulous just fabulous amazing and hell i dont even know what to say now except thanks for the ride.
🤘🤘🤘🤘
That look on Lindsay's face after 8 minutes, like "Holy crap....I'm playing with Guthrie Trapp"
Barely
Lots of talent on the stage, but GT is one of the best to ever do it. Bravo my cuzzin
Guthrie Trapp is the man!
Indeed! 💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! . Most melodic renditions of a great song!
They did great
All the solos rushing, nervous, confusing ... and then came Guthrie, and brought calm and heart felt phrasing.
Hes for sure on another level
exactly
I thought they were all pretty good
@@tedlivermore6955 I am not saying I would have done better
I mean he's also far more experienced
Guthrie killin it! That’s how you build a solo.
Awesome playing. All of you are amazing
Fender fest. Guthrie is the master of fret board. Amazing. No words
Absolutely!
Just amazing. Playing like this is like magic. You'll never know how good you are Guthrie, unbelievable man!!!
WTF? Why are you addressing someone who had nothing to do with recording and posting this pirate video? Do you sincerely believe Mr. Trapp is going to read your fanboy gushing?
I did actually record this one lol guthrie has re posted it on his channel too
That's the MOST INSANE Little Wing solo I've ever seen !!!!!!
Absolutely
When Guthrie solos, it's like the teacher steps up and tells the students nice try but please take your seats and I'll show you.
Guthrie is absolutely vicious on that damn guitar! Hoping he will be playing Monday on Labor Day where he usually plays, AKA, "The Work SHOP". Guthrie, If you see this let me know if you will be there then. We plan to visit there if so.
I hope you get to see him
Gutherie BEAST mode
Insane!
Teles rocking it!
Guthrie's lesson to the younger generation !!
Hes unreal!
That was great, all around!
Donato has an "alternating dbl stop" tech/lick... thing that I've heard him work I to a ton of his cluck plucking that has convinced me he is not from this planet. Looks effortless when he does it. I actually even saw another guitarist on YT talking about it and trying to "teach" it. He wasn't getting just right either. I'm convinced two 10 finger robots couldn't get it right in a tandem effort on the same guitar at the same time. Guthrie, always on point, 2miles ahead of us all, with possibly, imp, the very best ad lib/improve note selection of any guitarist on the scene today. I love Lindsay's slide playing. I would have preferred less wah, more "give em Ell" but she was feeling it. Id be paralyzed trying to play in the middle of this collective maestros.
Good God Guthrie! Sooooo good.
The best
Dang, Guthrie! I guess he's just cool like that.
Also that other lead with wah pedal, did it seem to wash out? I remember seeing some wah pedals with a way to set a small boost. Maybe that's what would keep it from getting lost in the mix?
super nice indeed wow
Yes!
You are such a professional player, Guthrie!! You still da’ man brother!!!!
You're addressing a person who had nothing to do with the recording and uploading of this video. You're talking to the ether on the internets.
Nobody said anything but the Guthrie. Just notes out lining the chords. Where are you going to go on your build if your starting above the 12th fret. That was a map of the perfect solo... Awesome guthrie.
Jimi Started his solo on the 12th. He just didn't play through the song structure endlessly like the covers that would be following til the end of time.
Wow!
🫠
All of those guitarist are amazing but I really liked that guy in the Rock & Roll shirt solo at 1:30
yeah!
Is that PhilX standing on the left at the beginning?
That's Gary "W" Tallent. Awesome video, thanks for sharing!
❤
🤘
Guthrie = Harlem Globetrotters - everyone else up there and in most bars/stages - Washington Generals.
Nice video!
Thanks !
You did Jimi proud, bro.
Derek and the Dominos version comes through and through on this jam. So good and my favorite but you can’t go wrong with Jimi or SRV either !
So much respect for Guthrie sheesh...
4本ギターですか❓これはある意味凄いですね🎉
Guthrie Is a bad assssssss.
You don't have to play loud or fast but man my face just melted off gt Killen it
SMOKING!!!!!!
Insane!
Guthrie Trapp,oh boy!
the best
Every note for GUTHRIE has a purpose.
Hes the best!
Then Guthrie steps in to say -- hold my beer ya'all.....
Tele + Vox = 😊
Many happy!
when in doubt.. use the wha... Danny sounded great and always so did GT!!!!
gt the man!
Guthrie is a head hunter. Donato is a badass. I'll say it , Lindsey had no business being up there and was Guthrie the only one that knew the chords ?
I was just there to enjoy the show 🫡
🚬😎 cool
Steve my last name was changed from sterlacci to sterlace when my family moved from Italy to America. So we have the same last name 🤙🏻
Thats so cool! I dont often meet any others!!
Who’s the guy with the black Rock and Roll t-shirt? Anyone know? Tia.
Sadler vaden
Guthrie, schools the kids on how to play with soul, dynamics and variety.
Gary Tallent on bass!
amazing band there!
Did Guthrie drop his pick there?
Jeeze
They've all got their telly-casters...
3:55…?? !!! ..GOOSEBUMPS
🤔I think Oprah Winfrey booked this show.. “YOU get a solo..YOU get a solo…YOU get a solo”
Looked fun AF! 🤘🤘🤘
🤣🤣🤣was fun being there
Who’s the guy on the telecaster? He’s so good!
Guthrie Trapp. Do yourself a favor and look up some of his stuff!
@@SteveSterlacci I think he got you. They’re all on Telecasters.
@trinity95624 good call 😅
Nashville teacher schoolin in the moment
the best!
Guthrie showing 'em how it's done! Starting around 5:20
Beast mode engage
Sure !!guthire trapp G.T!!!!
Head choppin
Indeed
Hmmm Good song Go Guth go
hes the best
That's was insane, but I probably would have played it with 3,000 less notes, lol.
Lol! Even if I did play them it would have taken SO MUCH longer 🥺
Agreed! Space and time is a good thing. Mr. Trapp is just simply amazing though. These kids have so much talent and the generosity of these greats, the way they collaborate, mentor, and showcase the next generation of players is inspiring.
Derek Clacton brought me here
Guthrie giving a lesson. Thanks for that cause pretty painful, auch…
🤘🤘🤘
Guthrie
All y’all that somehow found your way on to a stage with Guthrie… please put those guitars down, find a seat in the audience, and let Mr. Trapp show you how it’s done. Please.
Whats wrong with you! Cant think of a better way for the next generation of players to learn their lick than playing with the best! Did you learn to talk by just sitting quietly and watching your parents?
LOL Guthrie!
Guthrie taking them to school
Yessir
3 Teles and a Strat walk into a bar…
...and only one Tele survives.
And Guthrie comes out and just.........................
Guthrie Trapp guitar player genious, Woody Guthrie "this machine kill fascists".. Robin Guthrie Cocteou Twins - guitar sound genious..
Thats deep
Looks like Fender is well-represented.
Like 3-4 Tele’s and 1 Strat.
Yep
There was someone representing a Strat??
I love Phil X , But between his band and this one, I haven't heard so many people Butcher Jimi's song "Little Wing" in my life. If you want to hear a GREAT RENDITION of it...Go Listen to Steve Vai...Live at Astoria London and listen to something that would have made the hair on Jimi's arms stand up and gave him the chills , as it did me..
🤙🤙🤙
Ha and that’s the difference between a showman and a session player
Guthrie separated the men from the boys
sure did!
and Jeff Beck (rip) took......cough.....Johnny Depp........on the road with him ?
He'd sell more tickets i guess? No idea...
@@SteveSterlacci I loved Jeck Beck and he didn't need to lower himself like that. So many great players who deserved to be there, not an actor pretending to be a rock star.
Ummmm that's Mr Garry W Tallent.
Sure is
Where do all his ideas come from? Dumbfounded. The other three solos were impressive but geesh!
I think Ms. Ell is out of her element here. Over- rated to say the least...If you Really want to hear a young woman with a great voice AND absolutely stunning chops on the guitar, check out Erin Coburn. You will not be disappointed.
I'll check her music out! Thanks for the rec
@@SteveSterlacci Yea, man. LMK what you think!
Everyone else gets credit for this song except for the one who wrote it.
Who did ? Idk................
Singers😅
Llndsay playing fake chords. Lol Guthrie takes it to far. He is good but loves to show off.
Stage Destroyed
I was lucky to make it out alive !
Guthrie sucked all of the oxygen out of the room.
I don't think i breathed throughout the solo so i couldn't tell ya!!
Lots of great players in Nashville and none of them are making any $$..
Thats not true at a certain level
When people like Redd Volkeart have to move, it's an indication that things in Nashville are not good. At the end of this video Guthrie says.. "We'll be here tomorrow at 5-6pm. No money there.
@@Venetiababy1 this was a namm show
There was too much guitar
