  • This paddleboard is awesome, but things get a little hairy lurking into the mangroves for some windy fishing.

In this fishing episode we are paddleboard fishing in the florida keys. We are fishing the key largo mangroves on my new inflatable paddleboard and this is a review of the inflatable paddleboard from ISSAUTO SUP Neo Surf paddleboard. It was less than $300 on Amazon with free shipping!
    Here's the link:
    amzn.to/3yoQThT
It's blowing 30+ knots of wind but I hang on tight because I'm determined to turn this paddleboard fishing trip into a catch and cook. And with proper determination we are going to have a grunt and grits catch clean cook fishing episode on our hands!

This is a video of my inflatable paddleboard review and what it's like fishing from an inflatable paddleboard and is it worth the money. I think this inflatable paddleboard from amazon is perfect for fishing!
I hope you liked this catch and cook fishing episode. It was a windy day in key largo, but soon it will be summer in the florida keys and we will be back to offshore fishing, so enjoy the mangrove fishing while it's still windy
    Cheers!

You need to put more spin on your throwing of the cast net. That will open it up more. It is going to be harder to throw on a paddle board. Have captain Dan watch you, hopefully he knows how to throw one.

Just lightly grind on foam ones and depending on thickness, put a layer or two of fiberglass matt and resin on them. No more problems and just keep them turned bottom up when not using to keep dry.

Heiko, Roy here...we just bought a house in Tavernier recently. I will be there this coming Tuesday if you want I can show you how to throw a cast net. I too had “Cast-Net-Tinitis” (meaning not able to throw a cast net) lol. I promise you that you will be able to throw a 10’ in 15 minutes top. I have a 6’,8’ and a 10’. Once you understand the basic principle it applies to all cast net sizes. If you are interested hit me up. Trust me it feels great to know how to throw pancakes all the time. Roy

Hey man what if you tried spraying the bottom of your boards with rhino coating like they use on truck beds maybe it will help with the rocks. You know when I throw a net I learned to throw it from across my body like a frisbee so the spin opens it you look like your throwing with next to no spin it kind of looks like you are trying to throw an open net and have it carry to the water like that instead of having the spinning motion throw the weights outward using centrifical motion to open the net just an observation.

you should have a commercial crab trap in the water all the time ,,,,you can keep it baited for free with all the heads and bones left from fileting all the fish you get ,,,, there's alot of really good things you can make with blue claw crabs not to mention just steam and eat them too ... try this ... pick some crab meat off,,, ( back fin meat is best for this because its the biggest lump meat you can get on a crab ) , but you can use all or any of the crab meat ,,,, take any filet of fish and broil it ,, at the same time boil some asparagus ,,, also make a rue you can make any rue but with some crab water or roe makes it good,,, make the white sauce from the rue put in the cooked crab meat at the end .... now put the filet on a plate ,, put the asparagus spears on the fish , then cover it with the crab gravy ,,,, this dish will knock your socks off .... if you'd like to order it when your out its usually used with chilain sea bass and the style is call Oscar .... TRY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT !!!
