I have Sandstorm and Prime in this line plus they're G1.5 versions. I don't even touch Thunderclash anymore because of the GPS but he's unbroken and forever in vehicle mode.
Glad they went back and released the trucks that would have been a shame not to use those molds. The black one made me think that'd be a nice addition to a Metroplex set. Every city needs a towtruck! Prowl and Mirage's gun reminds me of Shockwave. Imagine a purple and silver race car? Helo Sandstorm looks great. They could have made him a decepticon he looks like a combaticon in those colours.
Putting the Radiator on the gun could be used as a massive cooling device letting him use his gun like a machinegun, Yer Machine Wars was an odd little line sad but that's what happens in life.
The Purge was back around 14 years ago when I sold the majority of my G1, G2, and some Beast Wars/Beast Wars II/Neo, and other Transformers. I used to have every single US released G1 Transformer, every US G2 Transformer, many G1 and G2 European, some G1 Japanese... and they were sold. Helped me financially, but I will likely never get everything back.
@ToySpotlite I feel you there... I had to do something similar right around the same time as you, it sounds like... except I had to sell off about half of my comic book collection (around 35 long boxes of 250 books/box), and a chunk of my Transformers collection, including a chunk of my G1 figures, and the vast majority of my RiD, Armada, Energon, Cybertron and some others, as well as a large chunk of various other action figures that I'd accumulated over the years, including a lot of my early series' of McFarlane toys, Toybiz X-Men, Star Wars PotF, and more... So far, I've managed to get a few of the G1's back into my collection, but not many. Still want to get Smokescreen back, even a quality KO would probably be okay, because a decent looking original is more than I really want to spend on it if memory serves... 🤔
It's commonly called "GPS", aka "Gold Plastic Syndrome"... The way it's chemical composition was made into the plastic, caused it to essentially dry rot and become EXTREMELY BRITTLE, almost to the touch, especially on certain figures, like Beast Wars or Transmetals(?) Megatron, I think it was, and particularly bad were the Horrorcon Pretenders... which dramatically increases the value of a nicely kept and well cared for figure which has that old gold plastic. That said, newer figures with gold plastic do not suffer from that crippling detail, as the formula for the gold plastic has been corrected to remove that impurity since the G1/G2/BW/BM era stuff, I think 🤔...
Hey if you have Skyquake dont do what I did. I have a skyquake and I was thinking "hey I got a gold plastic transformer that isnt breaking" then transformed it, and it broke on the hinges (franky i can repair that im lucky like that) I think thunderclash gold plastic usually just breaks only in his feet (my thunderclash is fully funtional, except for the ratchet that keeps the feet in their place) I recomend you to not transform thunderclash anymore you were making me cringe hard! haha
all are amazing
God I love Thunder Clash. I wish they did more with the character. The toy is great beyond the gold. Great color scheme
Those are awesome, he almost looks like a young Optimus. lol
I hope that purge doesn’t haunt your dreams

I have the fans hobby version or both machine war primes. I wish the gun was fed like that.

Sandstorm was my fav out of these. Not a fan of his colors, but he really gives off a nostalgic vibe, like a slightly updated 80's transformer.
The only one I failed to get out of that line was Starscream. I waited too long and he disappeared from the shelves. Can kick myself.
aw man. missed chance for a spoiler alert on the names lol

Hi, able to do a clip on the G1 KO micro cassettes? saw quite a few in the market..
I have done some. But the originals I am unlikely to buy, since I have them all in official releases.
Gah, frame cut off subjects at the end.
Too bad Botcon didn’t make the rest of the machine wars figures like Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, prowl and Hubcap
Newish viewer here - I’ve noticed you mention “the purge” in multiple videos. What is the purge?

11:14 what about gold plastic make you hesitant to move it?
Gold plastic on older toys can be notoriously brittle.
It gets fragile with age

Skyquake went in the Purge, unfortunately.
@@ToySpotlite I have followed you for the last 1 or 2 years so i only know about the purgue superficially
Thunderclash?? Right??
Thunderclash is the basis for MW Prime, yes.
These are garbage
