Wonderful inspiring story. "No one is really ever ready to do anything" or its never the right, perfect time. Couldn't agree more. I really liked what you said about being in the moment and recognizing you won't ever have an exact moment again and essentially saying to yourself this is a special moment. Have you tried this many times? What I mean is..saying this to yourself or to others and slowing down life for just that moment to celebrate or even apperciate. The reason i ask is its the most basic concept but yet the most under practiced. Pure gold reminder and one that I needed to hear again and will practice. Thank you you made me smile.

Thank you for visiting and showing pure love to our country.
These people are so graceful and kind
Thank you so much for this truthful representation of Haitian people. They are soooo beautiful. I a very similar experience traveling to see my fathers family in the mountains. It not only changed my life for ever it made me into a full human being. Everyone needs to understand this way of living with the earth. They have deep wisdom and understanding of the earth. People need to stop attacking Haiti and Haitian people and telling false narratives about this profound culture.

wow...look Haiti is not a treeless desert....if you listen to the bullshit you'd think it was not just as Beautiful as the DR, and you'd be dead wrong. It's got more coast line than the DR.
Right and I am too a Real Moun mon I am a Haitian Payizan would never trade that for anything in this world. Life in the southern village of Haiti is engraved in my memore the best of my life yet I live in US for past 30 years

I totally agree with you. I have a hard time stepping out of a moment and just appreciating it sometimes. But there is a balance there for sure.
