As the solos get cucked more by every update, we adapt and become stronger by the day
Tokyo's most OP trait is not his skills but his GUTS to poke the hornets nests, gets me jawdropping everytime, next to that would be his demeanor under pressure, he's like casually popping smokes and nades here and there then sealing as much as he could, and Dudeeeee his memory and discipline to organize his base to know where most of his items are, he's like dodging bullets and rockets getting to that room where his tools are for sealing.

I think this raid showcases really well a small Rust change that would help small groups against large groups significantly. Remove/heavily reduce the shake from rockets.
As seen here, Tokyo couldn't even aim form his peaks because there was always a rocket going off on his base every other second, big clans can just pound a base with zero chance to defend back because the camera shake makes it impossible to fight back.
Just a "gamey" mechanic that big groups with multiple launchers can take advantage of.
maybe reduce the durability on the launchers as well?

Was thinking the same thing. It just scales with how large the opponent group is. I get having some shaking for immersion, but jesus this was just obnoxious beyond any raid-defense thus far. MLRS doesn't help either, and you know who get a ton of them and can easily send spare a guy to ship it? You guessed it...
The change needs to affect large groups while minimizing the effect on small ones. Large groups who have large amounts of scrap and resources would easily be able to craft many launchers, while a solo or duo would have to tech tree or save scrap and research, then use materials that are in low supply to craft many launchers. I don't have a solution, but I think making raiding more expensive is not the answer.

There was a solid 10 minutes of the screen violently shaking from rockets and Tokyo still manages to kill dozens of them. Actually insane... Also, i love the new ending style giving the remainder of your loot away
The 1 way roof peeks changed my entire rust building career. Can't tell you how many raids these have come in clutch, you can fit that core into just about anything!

I don't normally comment but can we just take a moment to comprehend what is happening here. I was raided unexpectedly by a 2 man a few days ago with rockets and I was utterly paralysed. The thought of a 20 deep clan pummelling the base with rockets, with a raid bade, with overwatch and smoke is just overwhelming. With all of the screen shake and the noise plus the constant gunfire the fact AIT can even respond as a solo but defend and cause the raiders to think they are fighting against a team, not a solo is just awe inspiring. This is the definition of defense in depth and using fortification to create kill zones and choke points, turning the numbers and confusion against the raiders. Have you ever thought what their discord must sound like when they are getting schooled by one player? AIT is THE Chad. He's the Alpha, Sigma and Omega of all solo. The fact that's he quiet is terrifying. AIT defends harder that Ukraine. It's just mind boggling. Well done. Well done indeed.

On the real though... I have absolutely no idea how you don't have 10x the subs you have... You're without a doubt, the greatest Rust solo in the world. Your plays and ability is god damn legendary! Not to mention, it's really cool that you actually make the music you use in your videos. You're criminally undersubbed.
One tip for all of you: If you hold down your "look around" key (default ALT) and use the auto loot feature by hovering over armor (default H), it will automatically equip it in your gear slot. This can save you a lot of time, particularly in raid scenarios.

Ive never seen a raid where so many rockets get pinged at once that the base is uncontrollably shaking and even messes up your aim.

Was apart of a defense like this on a modded server the raiders were 12 deep the defenders only 5 deep sooo many rockets we end up winning the defense but the base did take quite a lot of damage it was so fun though!

I only ever played with big groups back in the day.. way before online raiding was thing -_- back then it was all about foundation wiping your enemies and I only play solo now every now and then. I do miss the groups though and online raid defenses too they seem like fun even if you do end up loosing.

After watching like 20+ videos of this man. I genuinely think he is teasing, toying and just testing everyone in Rust. He is the Glaados of Rust. There I said it.
This is always a great watch. Hats off to you for taking hard mode to the extreme. I remember the crazier times back when Rustralasia was the go-to SEA server. (I'm an American who plays KOR times due to 3rd shifting)
For people talking in the comments - there is no way to truly nerf big groups. Teas and manpower make resources just a scaling game. There is nothing you can do against a group that will send out 6 groups of 2 to powerfarm the snow - one hits nodes on teas while the other one looks out and helps carry stuff. 12 inventories of farm in 15 minutes, done twice, means 576 slots of farm in half an hour - and that will be 1/3 1/3 1/3 if they take every node in their area (and not cherry pick). So 192k stone, 192k metal, 192k sulfur. You will never be able to outpace the scaling, because if you make upkeep more expensive - that means solo bases (like this) that can survive 100+ rockets will never be unkeepable unless you get some juicy offlines on other small groups. If you make it off "group size" they will just make teams and organize off those groupings of players to min-max.
Making upkeep scale off of # of people TC auth'd would mean the high upkeep TC's would only have 2-6 people auth'd and make some de-auth as they get off.
The only solution I could realistically suggest would be time-gating WB's, but that would drive away the people who only practice AK

Hey aloneintokyo i have a recommendation that might help keep your turrets alive during these stressful raids. I suggest keeping those low grade fuel generators in your small boxes where u keep sealing mats. so u can quickly throw one down somewhere near your core just to power your open core turrets. ive been doing this recently in my bed rooms scattered around my base and it has been SUPER useful due to getting MLRS spammed these days :)
That base is a nightmare. Can you do a brief walkthrough video? The base is so confusing I cant follow what happens during the raids.

Hey Tokyo! Have you experimented with adding the floor stacked protected roof turrets to around your compound? I feel like if you found a reliable way to add those protected turrets to the inside of your actual compound, like on the gatehouses or something, you would annihilate raiders.

@@SenatorBanana unless the raiders are sticking inside their fob, i dont see how this wouldnt be effective. Have a fob at the military base, its just a suggestion anyway
@@WhenItBe Metal FOB would stand up to MLRS and they could easily rebuild it, wont kill enough raiders to do much really even if you get lucky and kill a bunch they can just respawn and rebuild immediately since you aren't at base.
So you want him to leave as his base is getting raided and mlrs his own base with the chance of killing the raiders who all have beds and bags and will be back before he’s even spawned back in. Sounds cool tho

You should totally give the turrets a shot. Where you can man it under the cover of your base. Use multiple and just secure the turret with something to keep it from being shot out lol idk sounds fun though
