Learn to use VLOOKUP formulas in 7 minutes... Vlookups allow you to search for related information in your spreadsheet or other spreadsheets. An example might be, you have a customer name and address, but you need to pull phone numbers from another spreadsheet.

Hi I have a question on the Vlookup-if I have a specific list of grocery items in one (workbook A ) and they are in column A ...and need to get the prices for those specific grocery items from another also in column A in (workbook B) and the prices are in column J and the second workbook has thousands of grocery items listed -how do I write the formula to extract only those specific items and their prices (from column J ) from the other sheet (workbook B) and enter only the specific items and their prices in Worksheet A?

Great explanation but the iferror does not work on a mac if i leave a phone number blank it just returns a zero not an error. So the iferror does not recognize the 0 as an error. How do you fix?

I know this video is old and maybe I'm missing something, but couldn't one filter the customer numbers on the phone number spreadsheet to match the customer numbers on the other, then copy and paste the data? Why is vlookup necessary for this?
In this case, the customer numbers in this spreadsheet may not be in order, or in a different order than the sheet with the phone numbers, so copy and pasting would malign the phone numbers and customers.
Hello,
When I am selecting Phone list in the Table Array; it is taking Customer and Full name as the selection. Hence, name is populating rather than Phone number. Please assist.

You have a list with ordered customer number, so why don't you just copy and paste phone numbers directly from phone list?
