Valor Hammer wasn't just a different Weapon Style.... It was a different way of life.
One that involved three times as much head trauma for these oversized fuckle beasts.

I don't know how often you look back on comments from videos this long ago, but In case you ever get the mud body or snow body effect and you don't have a cleanser (or your palicos are being ASSHOLES)
If you jiggle the movement stick back and forth quickly, so your character will move forward but you'll twitch from side to side. It actually clears the effect rather quickly, you'll get out of sticky situations faster👍🏽 I hope this helps future quests against barroth, barioth, and other large monsters that put goop on ya.

How's your PC man? I have another super old PC i3 intel HD 630 12GB and I can run it at 60fps plus HD texture pack. It's also recommended that you disable 3D in the options and also use performance cheats like unlock fps, Render Settings, disable FSAA etc. These cheats can be found by searching on google. My game just doesn't get 60fps when I open the smithy menu. They've put HD text in the menu window and that reduces my FPS to 48~52 when I open the smithy windows etc.

I really like all (but one) of the versions of Hammer in this game and often switch between them to keep the game fresh while still sticking to my beloved bonk stick.
Guild Style is the obvious choice if youre good at 4u Hammer, hard to be beat the allrounder.
Adept is great if youre up against monsters that youre really familiar with or ones that are rather fast, fighting G Rank Hellblade with Adept Hammer is one of the best feeling you can get in this game, though fighting Glavenus is allways a treat...
Though this Style does loose a few points in my book because of the missing uppercut in the base moveset, though the fact that two of the three strong charges are uppercuts redeems that part of the moveset.
Valor is also a great pick if you want to do a lot of damage really fast, its probably the strongest Styke due to the strong charges and the instant acces to a slightly weaker Golfswing, no combo required (the damage output gets even more if you use thst one hunter art that gives your charges extra hits, all hammer styles profit of that one but Valor does even moreso).
Its probably the best Style overall, though i mostly only pick it if i wanna turn my brain of and just go to town with little resistence (this Style oddly enough does make Plesioth of all things into a fun fight imo well if its outside the water, reapeatedly sniping its head is really fun and when it does its watercutter you can pull of all three charges with proper timing doing massive damage every time).
Alchemy Hammer is really really really good and criminally overlooked.
It only looses the lvl 3 spinn (wich isnt really a loss since its so situational) and the Golfswing-infinite takes a tiny bit longer but otherwise its just Guild Style but with an extra hunter art, free SP mode and a all of the capeabilitys of the alchemy barrel, so its mostly just better Guild style...
Its awesome and criminally underrated imo, nowadays i often use it over Guild.
Areal Style is fine imo, i only ever use it on monsters that hold their heads really high or have other hard to reach weakspots on their backs like Brachydios, Deviljho, Gammoth, Alatreon, Fatalis, Lagiacrus, Duramboros, etc.
The moveset is still fun and effektive but i havent played it enough to use it to its fullest potential since its optimal combos and aproaches are still a bit unusual for me since im using 4u hammer as a base line for my gameplay...
The slightly stronger uppercut is a godsend though, damn what an amazing move!
Striker is the only Style i dont particularely like...
The removal of the uppercut and the slightly slower infinite Golfswing combo really hurts the weapon, this is the worst version of Hammer in the game imo, the fact that there is no uppercut at all just makes this one the worst by default you gotta have something really good to justify the loss of an amazing move like that and a thierd hunter art is not it chief...
If youre wondering ive played and obsessed over this game way to much while mostly sticking with Hammer and Hunting Horn.

Nice to see you enjoying valor hammer. Personally, never got around to actually like it, seeing how it’s so slow to charge the valor gauge even compared to valor GS or lance, plus the valor charging attack is… too slow, even tho it can dishes mean attack once charge

You can reliably hit max speens on Typhoon Trigger II by counting to 4 when the actual spin starts, press X right before the 4th hit and you wont stumble

Nice. It's always an issue with people discovering MHGU, starting to play valor LS and not playing anything else because it's broken when there's so many fun weapon and style combo that aren't as broken as valor LS but still gets the job done.

The typhoon hunter art you've been using doesn't deal much damage, it's very good at building stun however, so using it when the monster is already stunned is not much useful. Just letting you know

Sorry to be asking the silly questions, but I've noticed a lot of GU content are being played on the 3DS version. Is this because of ease of access for creators to run on PC versus going through the Switch Ver? 😂 Be gentle please!
