I realize the machine has been out for a bit. Was able to purchase directly from Philips/Saeco for $1439 because of coupon. Went with this over the Jura because my wife needs simple. The cost savings over the Jura was the thing that tipped the scales…
Didn’t hear about this model until now. Sent my Phillips 5500 Lattego for repairs and they said parts not available and sent me this. Was it a good trade?
Saeco replace my Gran baristo avanti by this one, and free😀because theyre no pieces to repare it anymore...Very happy but i hope to doesnt have the same issues then with GBA.I got it today but try it tomorrow😃😃😃
Strange question, is it possible so put the straw-thing directly inside a milk carton, or do you have to use the milkcup used in the video? Just because of the convenience and no extra cleaning
Between this and the Jura E8 or Miele what would be best with a long term in view? I have a Saeco Incanto that’s 15 years old that’s actually stainless but it’s in need of repair and would like something that would be durable. Thanks in advance.
That is really a personal thing based on how you like your espresso, taste, heat etc. Personally I like the Jura S8/z8 as they will be the same result over the Saeco. We have also heard a lot since this review that the Saeco milk is too cool.
ECS COFFEE Espresso & Coffee Gear I’m glad I made the trip, it’s a beautiful store. Thanks for giving me the info I needed to make the right choice, you guys made it easy for me!
If I change beans around how will the extraction work out. I have switched different beans including flavored one that will change the extraction completely. So I have a semi auto Brevillie and would always have a cup ruined because the grind wasn't fine or course enough. How does this machine know?
Never use flavoured beans....the oils are terrible for the grinder. It usually takes a few cups for the older beans to cycle through but after that you should be good
So the drink is coming through the rubber/plastic material? Does anyone know if there are a similar espresso machine that have maybe more stainless steel? I’m trying to avoid my drinks passing through plastic.
Not sure there is a superautomatic out there that does not have a plastic brewer on the inside. You would have to go to a manual machine from Italy like a Lelit or Rocket.
Saeco/Philips have MAP pricing which means everyone that sells it cannot advertise it below a certain number. So looking online is NEVER the best deal. If you go into our store you will get a better price on any espresso brewer than you will see online (unless it is an authorized sale by the manufacturer and we are allowed to advertise it) (Owner)
I just bought this machine and I love everything about it except the milk temp. It's lukewarm at best. I know from researching that it's common with superautomatic machines but are there any on the market at all that make hot milk for drinks?
I have the Jura Giga W3 for home use, already have had to have it repaired once, each repair is around $600.... for a $6000 machine... don't like how the milk system cleans on the Jura, the filter system, the amount of plastic in front, and now the coffee is coming out separated and with a red hue, not how it should be... I'm ready to sell that machine and get this xelsis...
LOL you guys have it ovepriced. the basic model with identical features is about 800-1100$ tax included. the only thing that is different is instead of a titanium panel it has a stainless steel panel

any word on the availability of the xelsis 7786/00? I know that it's available in Germany but not so in North America.
Does this one takes a strong espresso? I currently own a Krups and the espresso is not very strong, even if I select the darker option.

@@Slumerican5 coupon was a 25% off just for signing up with phillips for notifications of sales… plastic with some steel parts…

Whats the difference between the Xelsis and the GRanAroma, they look really the same...?

You could use a carton

We stopped selling the Saeco Xelsis ...that may be the answer you want. The Jura and Miele in our opinion are much better units.
@@ecscoffeeinc Thank you for answering, I’ll take a look at your website tonight.
your review on the Phillips 3200 you said the machine so noisy.. but i don't see the noise difference between that machine to the 3200....
GOOD!!! Какой помол вы настраиваете?
Thanks for the cleaning note of the parts
which espresso taste better (or brings out intended original flavor from the coffee beans), Xelsis, Jura S8 or Z8? Thanks.

The burning question....Saeco Xelsis or Jura S8? Extra cup height of Jura is appealing, but that Saeco cleaning system looks very convenient.
My thoughts...if you drink more milk based go SAECO....if you just use mostly for coffee, espresso, Americano go Jura. Pop by and we can demo both
Good choice:) Thanks for the business.

Internal plastic tubing is BPA free

May you please respond to this Q?

Great review✌ Cappuccino could be better🤔🤨
How is the machine after one or two years of useing
We stopped selling it because of Milk temp issues. Hopefully they have fixed this

Excelsis is a better quality build

(With raised voice) The grinder is, IT'S SO QUIET! lol.
The tube for the milk is such a bad inconvenient design. The previous design was more elegant.
