    I would like to show this video to those who told me this "isn't playable". It is, many people get deceived by Synthesia staves being extended which makes it look like as if it only can be played by 2 people or a pianola. Don't get deceived by visuals and try to listen very carefully :)

      @JuanRamonSilva The reach of the AI's hand is sometimes weird, but it's playable

      @JuanRamonSilva lool man good eyes didn't notice, looks funny as hell
      but i guess it's just his range, yeah lol
      if you got bigger hands than this AI you can play it, not like it was too fast for him, but too wide

    Masterful. He plays those tenths with such ease and fluency, but it doesn't look like he has particularly large hands...which always seemed to be a requirement to play stride piano well.

    • @itsRemco
      @itsRemco  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not necessarily required as Donald Lamb for example wasn't able to reach a 10th, that's why many of his compositions/renditions include rolling 10th's. But yeah those guys had claws hahah

    • @josiah566
      @josiah566 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Are you possibly referring to The Charleston Rag by Eubie Blake? I think they're different pieces of music. The Charleston by our homie James P. Johnson was written in 1923 to accompany the popular Charleston dance in _Runnin' Wild_ which premiered the same year.
      Charleston Rag by Eubie Blake did come out before James P's Charleston - it was published in 1915 as sheet music (though Blake claims to have composed the melody in 1899 when he was 12 years old, and before he knew musical notation).
      EDIT: Louis Mazetier and Rossano Sportiello play a crazy "duet" of Runnin Wild in which Mazetier indeed runs so wild that Sportiello drops out his accompanying altogether so Mazetier can shine: th-cam.com/video/mjGuHfKCsg8/w-d-xo.html

    Nicely done! Love those left hand 10ths! How are you able to occasionally sustain just the "tenor" voicing or upper note of the tenth? Do you have a pedal capable of the center pedal on a piano?

    • @itsRemco
      @itsRemco  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What exactly do tiu mean by "do you have a pedal capable of the center pedal of a piano"? In a VST you have both 3 pedals and you can use all of them

    If you have a midi of the original roll by JPJ, can you do that one too? Also- > wish I had the technology to scan my running wild medley roll. Maybe I'll send it off to someone that does scanning.

    • @itsRemco
      @itsRemco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is software out there that can make a midi out of your roll, all yiu have to do is play the roll and film it with a camara and save it as mp4 and then it converts mp4 to midi
      I'll get back to you with the exact link
