Excellent reaction again. 'Metal Kingdom' was the opening track and intro for their most recent album and the PIA Arena concerts in April 2023 were the first immediately after the album was released. They opened the second night with this song and it was very special. They had revealed the third girl (Momometal) as the new official third member at the end of the concert the night before, so this was her first song as an official member, the first time she had her own microphone (she had been supporting the other two, Su and Moa, as a dancer for 4 years) and now here she was rising up with her own throne as well. BABYMETAL always put on a show, they don't just do concerts. Obviously they can really pull out all the stops for their big arena concerts in Japan, like this one, with all the lasers, pyro, moving stages and so on, but they will always put on the very best show possible in the smaller venues (anything from 1500 to 8 or 9,000 on average) as they tour the world - which they have been doing since 2014 when they were still only 16 and 15 years old. You can't go wrong with any of the PIA Arena performances, but that could be said for all their live shows. When you go to see BABYMETAL you don't have to worry if they and the band will be on form and put on a good show - they will. What a lot of us worry about is will the crowd be good enough and deserving of seeing BABYMETAL.
Great reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL. "METAL KINGDOM" is the anthemic opening of their latest album, The Other ONE. And this is how they opened their concert BABYMETAL BEGINS - The Other ONE - Clear Night. This was Momometal's very first song as a full fledged member after being an Avenger (backup dancer) since 2019. I'm super fan of the last verse with Su-metal's vocals over the chants and the instrumental accents. It just blows my mind. I agree, shout-out to Anthony Barone, the drummer here. He's also with All That Remains and my favorite drummer right now. Here is my (obvious) next song suggestion: "Divine Attack" (Live at PIA Arena 2023): th-cam.com/video/2WOHKe_4Fls/w-d-xo.html 🤘🦊
Welcome to the Fox Hole! Be prepared for what is about to come as a first time reactor, the fanbase is passionate about this group more than you can imagine. Babymetal is like no other act out there today and are in my opinion one of the most entertaining live acts today. Others will fill you in for sure about what they are all about. Enjoy going down the hole, it's deep but the fall is so enjoyable.
Nice first reaction, and welcome to the Foxhole! 😁 Their big arena shows in Japan are from another planet. The Kami Band is killer, right? Stage presence? Hell, yes! These three ladies are really tiny (and I mean REALLY tiny!), but on stage they look like they are 10 feet tall, even if you´re at the front row at one of their concerts in a small venue. They are simply amazing, especially live, and especially Su-Metal, their main singer. Try DaniloSouzaReacts´s recommendation for "Megitsune" next, you won´t be disappointed. Maybe addicted 🤣
Her Majesty the Queen encouraged the people of the Metal Kingdom to embark on a new journey to freedom. The concert of the new BABYMETAL started with this song. We sang loudly together, it was an amazing experience! I was so happy 😁.
BABYMETAL are absolutely the best thing to happen to rock/metal music in decades. Everything they do is about ten levels above most others. It’s quite mesmerising how good they are- especially ‘live”.
Good reaction! Welcome to the foxhole! This was a unique song to listen to for a first reaction. It's a good one, but not typical for BABYMETAL since it is a bit more of an anthem rather than their usual high energy. I would suggest Megitsune from this same PIA arena show for an even better example of what BABYMETAL is all about. Look forward to your next reaction!
This particular song is the first from the latest album "The other one", at the same time, it meant the return of Babymetal as a trio with the officialization of Momo-metal as an official member (This will surely be explained in detail later by someone). Which personally and I know for many fans makes it a very special presentation. Great reaction and I hope you continue reacting to their music!!
Well, since Su (the lead singer) birthday is coming up Dec 20, you should go back in time and checkout her 16th Bday concert and a song called Death.... Just search Babymetal Death Legend 1997.... and read the description, which would give you an idea of what's going on the performance.... 😁😁🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction, and welcome to Babymetal! I was ~5th row at their DC show a few weeks back, and yes, they are amazing! You definitely need to check out *Road of Resistance (Pia Arena MM)* for an epic Babymetal experience! 🤘🦊
I was 2nd row in washington DC and Cincinatti Ohio, and 3rd row in Indianapolis of this year's tour. Let me tell you... seeing Babymetal live is an experience. Su-metal's stage presence and voice were tremendous. Moa and Momo were super high energy and their crowd interaction had us so hyped! Every performance was just fucking phenomenal!
Welcome to the FoxHole! (Babymetal version of the rabbit hole) Believe it or not, this is one of their calmer song. Babymetal is mostly known for their high energy songs and live performance. But they're also very adventurous with their sound that, almost no songs are the same. They started in 2010 when they were early teenagers, and still going strong today. Next, I would suggest: Babymetal - "Megitsune" (pronunced Me-gi-tsu-ne) Live at "Legend MM" concert. th-cam.com/video/x2BOcdd1ZAs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tBI4E6jfvdDhklgI Anyway, enjoy! 🦊🦊🦊
Very nice reaction. It's always good to hear a reaction to Metal Kingdom, or any of Babymetal's songs that are rarely reacted to. You really can't go wrong reacting to Babymetal. All of their songs are top quality. People will throw around words like, fan favorites, but that is very subjective. What I am saying is don't avoid unrequested songs for fear they are not good songs. There is no such thing as a bad Babymetal song. :)
An unusual song to start with. Perhaps not one of the bigger fan favorites, but I'm glad you liked it! It's the opening song of their fourth (and latest) album. But if you want the biggest single from that album, you should listen to _Monochrome._ Although I think it could be more interesting if you went back in time a little bit, and maybe tried something from earlier in their career. Like Road of Resistance, from their second album, if you don't mind a little power metal.
Nice reaction. This song is so good. I recommend reacting to the song Megitsune on the official channel, the recently released video of the Legend-43 show.
The timing of the instrumentals is always on point with Babymetal, that and the Kami band are great instrumentalist. If you really want to hear them go at it, I would suggest Road of Resistance Live in Japan. As you said in your Bekhauf reaction, that you thought that was an anthem, RoR is quite literally an anthem song for Babymetal and is how they usually always close out their shows. Which was how they closed out when I saw them last month. Another great instrumental track, well really there's many but this next one is special due to the complexity of it, that and the fact that it has only been performed live once, is Tales of the Destinies Tokyo Dome Live.
The best babymetal song is the one I am listening to at the moment. Best served live - always. They have been around a long time as babymetal - and were in front of a large fan base when only 12 years old (Su-metal) and 11 (Moa-metal + Yui-metal). Yui had to leave due to ill health, and after trying out new formats Momo-metal joined in 2023 at the Clear night concert as a full member. The first big outside Japan concert was at the Sonos 2014 UK in front of 65,000 heavy metal where they did 5 songs - it started with WFT and finished with chants for more - they one the audience. You will be hit by a storm of comments - always kind and helpful - from the fans; Grinton300 is your best source of information. They are just finishing a 93 concerts world tour and will be doing a European tour in 2025 of arena (announced is the O2 in London - it it essentially sold out in 30 minutes). Their concerts are a amazing and they do real shows and theatre for the fans and we appreciate what they give to the fans. The backing band is the Kami band, they are always some of the best in the business. The first Kami band was the eastern Kami band from around 2014 and they were brilliant and clinically perfect and technical. They exclusively front the Western Kami band now, so of the best players out there. The fans are the "one" and we are loyal and have sold our soul to the band. Enjoy the journey, you cannot do worse than : Rondo of nightmare with mischief of gods: Budokan black night 2014 . The kami band being god tier - only to be upstaged by Su-metal. Monochome : live at the PIA (I see you have done this) Karate : any live - battling your own demons, and help each other BMC : heavy rap : I prefer Budokan 2021, but Legend -MM is amazing to. You just have to watch to understand. Headbanger : Budokan 2014 - or maybe Momo-banger at legend-mm , or Moa-banger, or Yui-banger - just enjoy the crowd Road of resistance : Live in Japan Official : Crowd control - we do as we are told.
This might be Babymetal's standard showopener if they hadn't the perfect song for that with Babymetal Death. While there is a theatrical element in all of BM's performances, Metal Kingdom is about as epic as it gets, and that says a lot. The song is from the "The Other One" album, published in late 2022 after the band had been in an official hiatus for over a year. They probably felt the need to gather and energize their fanbase again, and Metal Kingdom serves that purpose for sure. You got most of the important points: Su's lead vocals, the level of stage presence and stage production and last but not least the quality of the intrumentalists behind babymetal, known as the Kami band. The drummer in this concert as in most live shows since 2019 is American Anthony Barone. If you really want to hear him in animal mode, I suggest watching Road of Resistance by Babymetal. The Kamis are hired for live shows, but are not necessarily playing on the album tracks. Fun fact: While the chairs at the beginning are certainly inspired by the Iron Throne, they are not formed out of swords but of arms showing the Fox Head hand gesture, the official nonverbal salute used by Babymetal and their fans.
welcome to the Foxhole 😁 i surrgest maybe a reaction to Road of Resistance, which was the song following this one . or Megitsune both on For the Foxgod channel .😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Great, enthusiastic first reaction to Babymetal. And kudo's for going for the live PIA Arena performance of this song. Most reactor's at least one's new to Babymetal end up watching the MV of this song. Which is fine.IMO though this one blows the MV out of the water so to speak. Baby metal have just been on their seventh world tour and they are-as you've now experienced-known for their epic performances. Understand that BM have been performing since 2010. And yeah they were young but amazingly still rocked whatever venue they were in. If you enjoy metal. And you seem to "get" Babymetal's unique take on metal there is sooooo much incredible music out there for you to experience. BM have always been just the three girls/ladies with only one personnel change due to health issues. Except for theri very earliest performances they have always been backed by two bands of incredible musicians. The OG Kami Band East and the current Kami Band West. Whose drummer you enjoyed is the amazing Anthony Barrone. I really enjoyed your reaction. You've got my sub and I'lll make a suggestion And I'd like to make a suggestion for another kick ass performance by Babymetal (I'll include a link). Welcome down the foxhole.. You are going to have a great time reacting to Babymetal. Their live performances are epic, even early on through today. Road of Resistance live in Japan 2015 is also a great start. Headbanger (legend of 97) video is another that shows the crowd control they have at a young age. So many videos to react to, from official music videos, live performances, Kami Band intro videos, rare songs and even multiple "Babymetal Guide" videos that dive into how they were formed.. You'll need to create a Playlist for all of the videos you're about to watch lol.. Also, note worthy, there are four English songs, Believing, From Dusk Till Dawn, The One, and Elevator Girl. And the song BxMxCx she raps.. Good luck on all the content lol .
The second time that they used these Thrones, but this time without the help of Sakura Gakuin. So they had to change the complete Choreo, since they didn't have real crawlers.
