Isn’t it funny how TH-cam can pick out the things that you will love, even years after it was posted?! Now subscribed to your channel, love your work 😍
Love this Heather! I need something to protect my purse calendar and a clip for the various pieces of paper and appointment cards I receive while out. This will be perfect to contain those loose pieces and protect them from getting crunched without having to carry a full size agenda. Mine of course will be a bit smaller but have the perfect size old book cover. Thank you for sharing! ❤
Absolutely gorgeous 😊 I have so many ideas of how to put together some of these and no two would be alike! New subscriber and looking forward to watching more tutorials😊
I was so excited to discover your channel. As I watched you create this, I was reminded that a few months ago I decided to create journals using things I had in my stash. A valentines journal was on my list. This year I made a rag swag using valentine-themed fabric. This tutorial has inspired me to create that valentine-themed journal using up my fabric scraps as well as all of the valentine-themed papers and ephemera in my stash.
Your use of an attractive book cover, even one side and what one can accomplish is genius and I already have a couple hard covers I was dragging paining over because I really needed to create that spine and reinforce it all for that journal; I left it. Now I see your beautiful take on this video creation I am inspired to move ahead, I don't need a book; a beautiful folder is what I need at this time. Thank you so so much.
Such a beautiful folder! I love that you printed over the wallpaper. It was fun to see the pink flocked fabric. I was a bridesmaid in the early 70s and my dress was that same fabric but in aqua. Wish I had kept it! There were five of us and each dress was a different color of that fabric.
Hi Heather what a gorgeous idea, and what a way to display and show those beautiful old book covers, I wish they still made them like that. Thank you for sharing another lovely tutorial I always enjoy watching them, take care my friend 🤗❤️
Hello Heather, I just want to say that your videos have become some of my favorites! Thank you for sharing, I love to use old book covers, and these are beautiful.
I'd upcycled an old hardcover to keep my travel art sketchbook in but I wish I'd seen this sooner. This is SO MUCH PRETTIER! Your design aesthetic is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Omg, i just hopped on and saw some ideas that looked familiar 😁 Love how you used them. I know what im doing with mine now. I haven't found anymore that were this pretty. Just plain ones. You could make these and tuck letters to your grandchildren or adult children.🌹
I love that idea about tucking letters inside! They would make a nice folder for special keepsakes too. Glad you are going to try to make one! Thank you again for sending these beauties to me! 🤗💗💗
It's such a great use of covers like this. I am making one from an 1880s book. I'm waiting on some reproduction marbled paper I ordered to cover one side due to it's poor condition. I couldn't find the exact paper unfortunately but that's ok, it ill still look old. Thanks for sharing this idea!!
Thank you for the fab idea. I have a beautiful book cover from a large butterfly book after using the inside pages. I was hoping to repurpose it someday and now I am going to make your project! I will keep the cover of the book, as is, but with added distressing. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for sharing. These are so beautiful and I love how you printed on the wallpaper. Your digitals are definitely on my wish list. I love your style and your work!
Heather this is so sweet, I love it!! I received something similar in a happy mail from a sweet lady some years back and always wanted to try it. She used a gutted book cover with the spine still intact so it was about 1-1/2” spine and she altered the covers and she made pockets on the inside that she had stuffed with sweet little crafty goodies for me to use and I just adore it💝. Yours turned out beautifully, that vintage flocked fabric is gorgeous and that swan image that you placed inside is just beautiful 😍😍 and adding the clip for a clipboard, genius! Thank you for sharing your process, you make it look so easy and I can’t wait to try! Biggest crafty hugs to you my friend🤗🤗
Denise.. I love that idea to use a book with the spine still attached.. what a great idea for those thinner spine books!! What a fun way to send a bundle of goodies. Need to try that! 💗💗💗💗 thank you so much for your sweet comment my friend!!
Wow, I found this on a perfekt day for me! Lovely idea for a big old book cover I didn't know what to do with ... and I have a day off from work! Thanks for the inspiration! 🤗
That looks like you could use that for a collage ephemera board book. And the bigger, the better for a larger surface to work on, and to hold loose papers on the other side.
So pretty Heather! I am going to look to see if I have any old book covers, if not, I will start hunting for one, but I think I can still make one of these with chipboard and digis!
Hi Heather, I just finished creating my boho journal and would love you to see it! It's on my TH-cam channel under my name. Thanks for all of your inspiration!
I love this idea! I've got so many loose book boards lying around that I didn't want to cover up with fabric or anything and I was struggling with working out what I might be able to use them for. I'll definitely be trying this out! :D xoxo
What a beautiful, practical idea, thank you. This is probably a really silly question with an obvious answer, but what is the a reason for attaching the fabric spine first and not covering the covers first? Thank you for sharing.
@@rubyandpearlxo I believe, whichever way you did it, you would make it work and turn the 'junk' into something beautiful. Thank you for replying to my question X🇦🇺
If you look back somewhere in the video I talk about it.. basically you print the wallpaper print.. then I printed a ledger paper from my French papers kit right over top of the wallpaper 💗 so basically double printing!
Barbara .. there is a link in the description box of my latest video.. making simple collages. I found some on Etsy I like alot. Sometimes I use vintage .. which I found a lot of one time.. but the one with the link I shared is just as pretty!
Hello! Would you possibly be able to share the edition of the lovely “Please mamma read us Pilgrim’s Progress” book at the beginning of your video? My mom has been trying to find one like it and we haven’t had any luck so far. Thank you and be well!
I love this idea. I see beautiful old book covers at the thrift store all the time. I think I shall try this idea. Thanks.
Absolutely stunning! My mind is racing with ideas! Thank you for sharing!!! 🥰

I absolutely love this idea. Just wish I had access to some old book covers because it adds so much to this project.

Love your printable! What printer do you use to achieve your true, rich colors?
What a beautiful, practical idea, thank you. This is probably a really silly question with an obvious answer, but what is the a reason for attaching the fabric spine first and not covering the covers first? Thank you for sharing.
Haha! I suppose you could do that.. it is funny that I didn't even think to do that first! 🤣

Ok better plan to cover the back cover before putting on the binding
What is the music?
