I am getting so much wear out of my beautiful Geogradient shawl; It is lovely, it stays on, and it looks good with so many outfits. The slip stitches give it great texture, and the weight of the dip stitches & long full tassels add the weight & warmth that I love. Thank you Stephen!
You are adorable, and so talented…such a delight to see one of your videos in my queue! When you added your pups, it was like adding Nutella to my toast! Bless you for all of your hard work on all you provide!
Oh Stephen I have just knitted the Prowl socks and am over the moon 🌛❤🌜 They are the first sock pattern that totally work for me. I'm so happy. Thank you ❤❤❤
I totally agree with you on the gray days of winter. I love them, I feel I go into hibernation mode. Knitting in front of the fireplace is one of my favorite vibes.
Great woolly world video! You are just such a passionate person for all things knitting and colour! And your dogs of course. My 2024 west knit plans are to finish my quilting triangles shawl and make a Starflanket for my husband 😊
Yes! I have a new Smooth Fox Terrier puppy, Lily, who would look fabulous in a painting honeycomb sweater ♥️♥️ She's white with a black & tan face, so the pretty windows of color would be great on her!
Great episode today. Lots of laughs. 40 + years ago my husband was hired by a new company and we moved from Montreal to London On. While he was considering this move, the wife of the president said that I should be able to fly back to Montreal every 3 months for the first year for my hair stylist, shops, time with friends. It was wonderful
That dog is clearly being abused *joking of course* 😂😂😂😂😂 Just snoring on camera and dead to the world 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He gets ditched to the side and doesn’t even move 😂 best part of the whole video, not gonna lie ❤❤❤❤
OH I am so excited to team turtle some of those designs!!! I had to take a year off knitting (due to wrist injury) Your 2023 MKAL was really my first project back to knitting after the break.. still finishing it up but I have loved knitting it.. it has been so enjoyable!
Hello Stephen :) PUP stuff is fun and I’m from snow and very cold weather, so for my little girl, she needs warm coats and sweaters to go outside. She has some things to lounge around the house in and be cute, what she needs is a Broiche knit sweater with some fun and a neck. Your pups kind of go from shoulder to head( so adorable!), my girl is slim and has a longer neck and in frozen weather and snow she needs extra help to get out and go with me. That unicorn colorway lilac sweater is so yummy, a Mom and Pup sweater in that pattern would be excellent. XO
some wild designed headbands would be amazing!! Knitting my second marled magic (first one for mom, this one for me ). On my list next: Shawlography. You and your work make me really happy ❣
Oooooooo love the lavender sweater. Feb/March is an excellent time. Might have time to catch up on last year’s Hiberknitalong AND do this year’s before diving into this beauty.
And I am searching for a Balaclava with a part in front of mouth and nose for very frosty situations ❄️ I am also in love with your Briochaclava with the fluffy suri ❄️
Just about to start clue 3. 😂 I'm just getting it done in my own time I guess. I'm knitting on too many different things. I love hearing brioche snore in your lap 😂
I finished the Geogradient last week and am absolutely in love with it. I have worn it most everywhere I go and it still needs to be blocked. I just need to find a space my furbabies can't lay on it.
Love the Balacava design for the men in my life. For a gift, I knit the Dustland socks in sport weight yarn by adjusting the stitch count. Am very happy that you are knitting socks in DK yarn. They are much quicker to knit for gifts. My family always look forward to getting my hand knits for Christmas. Am looking forward to the 2024 Year of Socks. Maybe you could do a Year of Hats. Thanks for all the wonderful patterns and inspiration. Nancy
Each morning I look forward to the latest video and the day’s section of the pattern. Although I have been watching only about a year, Your first TH-cam video was 2015
That unicorn colorway... and how those stitches make that sweater look so squishy. Love it. I need to swing by and pick some up. Also, I have a similar gift knit philosophy.
How about some Speckle and Pop socks??? I’d love to see you somehow incorporate some larger holes into socks! That could be really interesting … have you considered designing any skirts?
I wish I could wear sweaters. That lilac one looks so beautiful with the thick texture of the brioche and dip stitch, but I'm getting hot flashes just looking at it. 🤣 I had great fun with the year of socks, and also the MKAL which I wasn't even going to do this year, but after clue 2 I had to join in. I'm working on my Geogradient inspired blanket right now. I'm looking forward to all the new patterns next year. Thanks, Stephen!
I love your West Wool. I used the Chestnut kit for my Geogradients Shawl and love it sooo much! That unicorn colour is amazing as is your pattern. I might have to break down and knit that sweater. I'll be checking for it in February.
The fragmentation cardigan in those colours is absolutely beautiful Stephen, I’ve not finished my mystery shawl yet Due to annoying circumstances back to it soon I hope can’t wait to do the dip stitch
I found setting up the first set of dip stitches was a bit slow- but after that you should be alright. (I have made a few discreet insertions and deletions - even for this perfectionist unknitting 500 + stitches is too much. I haven’t finished mine yet, as I decided to go for an extra deep border (and play yarn chicken).
Stephen has excellent TH-cam tutorials on brioche. I couldn’t quite figure it out until he “showed” me the way. 😂. I also find it slightly easier to brioche knitting continental rather than English style. No idea why, but I just go with it!
I'm an adventurous beginner and I want to knit it all. I love the bright orange you put in "my" sweater. I'm trying my first pattern by you (Unicorn Parallelograms). I'm using micro minis for my colors. Maybe you can CATIFY one of your doggie patterns.
Cats really don’t like clothes, dogs generally don’t mind all that much, I’ve even known a dog that would try to put my t-shirts on himself, but cats are different.
Hi Stephen - its amazing how accessible you make color. I grew up not understanding or feeling comfortable with color so everything i have knit for decades is either poo brown, gray or navy. yep - super boring. your advice about just going for it is really liberating and very much appreciated. I am trying my hand at designing (as an art expression, not a living) and all the advice you give is so good. For the first time ever, i am appreciating the role of my stash, and the joy of pulling out different colors so see how i feel about knitting them together in the super basic designs i am making. I have never worn mauve or citron, yet here i am staring at them and my belly is telling me yep - use them for your new design. all this to say, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and passion - but most of all for telling us all to just be brave and do it. its just knitting :) p.s also appreciate the paid for classes. i am hoping to take a week off work in Q1 and instead of going away, i am going to stay home and do the westknits best tips class :)
Oh that lilac sweater! Gorgeous. But I don’t knit sweaters, so would you please design a shawl?? Also, where did you get the project bag that held the sweater? It’s perfect.
I usually knit headbands, mug sweaters, fingerless mits, and hats for gifts. My favorite thing to do is to take a hat pattern and turn it into a fitted cowl. Also, please make a sweater out of your Corrugation Shawl. What is the name of the copper hat that you're wearing in your Corrugation Shawl picture? That would look fantastic as a sweater as well. :)
Ideas for new sock and sweater patterns (pup version too for XXL dogs): I have knit 7 Exploration Station shawls and would love to have other FOs that incorporate some design elements from this shawl. For those who may not want to do brioche, I have subbed 1x1 rib or fisherman's rib.❤
Holy Cow. I have already spotted patterns to last me a whole year's worth of knitting. That lilac sweater is life!
The snoring! I love it!
Love your designs, your energy and your sidekicks. Brioche falling asleep in your arms and snoring... priceless 😂
Thought that was Purrrring😅
Love your vibe, style and skill 😊 Big fan for years. Super inspiring!
Omg your dogs crack me up. Love all your designs
Brioche is really killin' me right now. What a lil baby!
I have just found you. And you made me smile immediately, what clinched it was the picture of you knitting with a dog in your arms. Wonderful!!
Great episode! So much fun, so happy, and so inspiring! Thank you!!
I am getting so much wear out of my beautiful Geogradient shawl; It is lovely, it stays on, and it looks good with so many outfits. The slip stitches give it great texture, and the weight of the dip stitches & long full tassels add the weight & warmth that I love. Thank you Stephen!
I'm so glad you like it! I loved knitting every stitch of mine.
I just love these kinds of videos. Thank you for all that you do. Your the reason I love knitting ❤️
Aw thanks! I'm so glad you like them. These are some of my favorites to film
Omg LOVE Stitch & Brioche!! and love your designs! So glad to have found your podcast!
I love all of your designs & colors & I especially love your little fan club. They are really sporting their new clothes proudly 😊
Unicorn Color is so pretty! Lots of texture. Exciting!
Fragmentation cardigan is stunning. 💓
You are adorable, and so talented…such a delight to see one of your videos in my queue! When you added your pups, it was like adding Nutella to my toast! Bless you for all of your hard work on all you provide!
😱💖💖 that lavender sweater with the unicorn yarn made my jaw drop! So gorgeous!!!
OMG - the chunky cable sock. I gasped!
Oh Stephen, you’re such an inspiration! Your joy is so infectious! Thank you for sharing!❤
Oh Stephen
I have just knitted the Prowl socks and am over the moon 🌛❤🌜 They are the first sock pattern that totally work for me. I'm so happy.
Thank you ❤❤❤
I totally agree with you on the gray days of winter. I love them, I feel I go into hibernation mode. Knitting in front of the fireplace is one of my favorite vibes.
I can't help but watch Brioche and Stitch while trying to catch up with the new designs and everything. They are so funny and cute. 🥰
How exciting!!! You are truly talented. Thank you for sharing! I can see my year is going to be busy. 😄
I LOVE the balaclava - I would like to see more of those !!!!!❤❤
Wristwarmers and fingerless mitts are great gifts.
I always look forward to your shows. You're so positive and inspiring. Thank you from me in Texas.
You are spoiling us, Stephen! ❤

Can not wait for the pattern of that pretty purple pattern! Looks like something right up my alley!
Love Love the cowl.
❤❤❤ love that lilac sweater!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Thank you! 👍😊
That Lilac Sweater 🥰 GORGEOUS 😍
Shawlography socks for my leftovers, please 😍 beautiful works throughout your whole video!
Love the fragmentation sweater!!!
Love the socks, I make mine longer, so they slouch. ❤
So many great gift ideas, thanks. For women with long hair I like to make scrunchies.
That Lilac sweater but then in a shawl ❤
OH I am so excited to team turtle some of those designs!!! I had to take a year off knitting (due to wrist injury) Your 2023 MKAL was really my first project back to knitting after the break.. still finishing it up but I have loved knitting it.. it has been so enjoyable!
Well that’s me done definitely going to make the lilac beauty ha ha martyn was right when he said we would have some brioche next year 😊
I hope you do more crochet/knit combo creations please

Looking forward to the likac sweater
Believe it or not, my biggest request is funky cotton wash clothes followed by thrummed mitts!
I actually started sketching myself but I really would like a fantastitch sock😁
Dear Stephen, as you asked, I dream to have a cardigan with the clue 2 of the Twist & Turns shawl on the front panels ❤
Oh wow. Already thinking about that lilac sweater but in stripes.
Love the cardigan!
some wild designed headbands would be amazing!!
I heart those green cabled socks.
I need that dogsweater for my toypoodle. 🐩
That would be sooo cute!
And I am searching for a Balaclava with a part in front of mouth and nose for very frosty situations ❄️ I am also in love with your Briochaclava with the fluffy suri ❄️
oooh the treasure trove ideas might be fun!
Just about to start clue 3. 😂 I'm just getting it done in my own time I guess. I'm knitting on too many different things. I love hearing brioche snore in your lap 😂

Starting my boneyard shawl today!! Love your cute doggos!!! I am totally going to do your 2024 year of socks!!!!!!
Agreed with previous comments, Lilac sweater is 🔥!
I finished the Geogradient last week and am absolutely in love with it. I have worn it most everywhere I go and it still needs to be blocked. I just need to find a space my furbabies can't lay on it.
The lavender sweater is absolutely gorgeous. Would love that in a whole collection.
Was Brioche hypnotised? So funny watching him lying on the couch not moving after you put him there! 😂
A pattern for a hot bottle cover would be great, using your bright colors and maybe some stranded work. And it will be fine for both women and men.

Thanks for all the wonderful patterns and inspiration. Nancy
Each morning I look forward to the latest video and the day’s section of the pattern.
Although I have been watching only about a year, Your first TH-cam video was 2015
How about leg warmers ?? I also make headband/earwarmers and they are always loved
That unicorn colorway... and how those stitches make that sweater look so squishy. Love it. I need to swing by and pick some up. Also, I have a similar gift knit philosophy.
love that lavender clour
How about some Speckle and Pop socks??? I’d love to see you somehow incorporate some larger holes into socks! That could be really interesting

Hermosos tejidos. Felicitaciones!!

I love that lilac sweater! Once the pattern is out I do want to give it a go!
I have this feeling that next year’s patterns are going to be epic!
Hi Steven,
Yes, please create a honeycomb, sweater pattern for dogs! My two Griffons told me they love that pattern 😉💕 of yours.
Grazie!
Jen
I love your West Wool. I used the Chestnut kit for my Geogradients Shawl and love it sooo much! That unicorn colour is amazing as is your pattern. I might have to break down and knit that sweater. I'll be checking for it in February.
I would love to see slip stitches in a cowl, sweater,
Aurora Cabin Pup Sweater! ❤❤
I am also hoping for a Dustland Collection of patterns like the Basketweaver Collection

I hear the dogs breathing/snorting LOLOLOLOLOLOL 😜🤭
That beautiful new hibernation shawl - I can’t remember the name- is on my list - what about a pup sweater from that??
Just learning to knit. Can’t wait to figure out brioche. Until then, the dustland Shaw or sweater in that lilac color would be amazing!
Stephen has excellent TH-cam tutorials on brioche. I couldn’t quite figure it out until he “showed” me the way. 😂. I also find it slightly easier to brioche knitting continental rather than English style. No idea why, but I just go with it!
Love the lilac sweater 💜🧶💫 I’ve found out the hard way , who is knit-worthy, and who is Not 😢
Yes me too
I second that, Sue
😁
Knit a Sweater to my dog, ❤️🐶❤️

Could we have a “Mitt a month” then next year we would have 12 pairs for gifts.
I also assume we will get a cardigan of the new sweater😀
Also I think the Batad cowl/shawl would make a great pup sweater
Oh that lilac sweater! Gorgeous. But I don’t knit sweaters, so would you please design a shawl?? Also, where did you get the project bag that held the sweater? It’s perfect.

😍😍🤗🤗💛
I like to knit my sleeves 2 at a time
