Awesome video. Watched with bluetooth headphones the deep roar from the locos under power can be appreciated!
I used to drive class 80s and 422s in my old State Rail days based in Delec/ Enfield depot. Loved the 80s... so ergonomic in the cabs before the class 81s came out with an even better layout. Locos from the 1980s mind you... years ahead of their time with cab design.
I am just about the retire from BHP with their crappy American SD70 ace rubbish. Cab layouts on these are pathetic. Americans don't understand the word ergonomics. Would rather a class 80 any day.

I always thought that the 422 class has a somewhat similar engine sound to the GM class.

Hi chummy, I used to drive trains up and down those tracks.
Some are on the Hawksbury River Bank between Hawkesbury and Cowan, some are at Cowan, some are at Hornsby with a couple near Mt. Colah (10 km north of Hornsby) and even one from Fassifern which is about 25 km on the Sydney side of Newcastle.
If there is anything specific you seek... give the loco numbers and I'll see what I can work out. 😊
