Its a bit different depending on your car. If you have the 6mt vs the automatic, butterfly in the runners or not. Essentially its a Very simple swap, Get the spacer you need and or the butterfly delete if you desire, the gaskets, and go. You can also upgrade the throttle body at the same time, as he showed you here. The ideal one you want is the magnesium one, from the Hybrids. Best flowing, and its lighter weight, and even better heat soak properties and such. New from Honda is like 700-1200 for the manifold. So if you can get THOSE from a scrap yard for a low price you can make You a bit of money easy. Not to mention a ton of friends lol.
I think it was somebody on Acurazine who did this swap way back in the day and gained 15 WHP. It's a good mod for sure (I'm running a J37A2 manifold, which is essentially the same thing, and a Blox 74 mm TB on my "hybrid" J35).
I got permission from my chick to take the 3.7L intake manifold from her acura MDX. I'm gonna put my 3.2L intake manifold and throttle body on her acura when we trade it in 😂. Hey man, thanks for the video. You answered quite a few questions that I had about swapping this manifold into my GEN one pilot. I do have one question though. The butterfly valve that goes on the intake plate. I did not see in your swap. Did you not need it or delete it?

Hi, I just got a brand new j37 intake, gonna put it on the same J30 engine. Did you use a top plate with a solenoid? if not what is plugging the v shaped depression on the pass side of the intake?
Since my car is an automatic, it does not have the butterfly solenoid so to compensate all I did was get a top plate from a 08 Honda Accord if my car was a six speed, then the top plate I could reuse the Acura perfectly
@@jseriestech Yes, thank you I was just happen to be looking at a 2010 Accord and it has the proper depression in the and the gasket also has the v-shaped to it for the top plate. I’m planing on getting the manifold, throttle body and thermal gaskets. Probably wasn’t going to do the manifold spacer(unless necessary) until I do runners and a tune in the future.
